Washington, D.C. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid released the following statement on the fiscal cliff:
On Tuesday, Americans from across the political spectrum made it clear that they want a balanced approach to tax policy that asks millionaires and billionaires to pay a little bit more. The sooner Republicans come to grips with this reality, the sooner we can forge an agreement to avoid the fiscal cliff and prevent a tax hike on middle class Americans.
The Senate passed a bill to cut taxes for Americans making less than $250,000, and the House should pass it immediately. Our bill cuts taxes for small businesses. When Republicans talk about small businesses, they are really trying to protect millionaires like Donald Trump.
It is time for us to put politics aside and give the American people the balanced approach they are demanding. I am optimistic that we can meet this challenge before the end of the year.
Hey Harry, who owns the House and the purse right now?
Uhhh.... from this long-fogotten old document:
Section. 7.All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives
This wicked devil can set an example by voluntarily paying his fair share as a millionaire first, being an example to other millionaires.
And Harry, if you are not willing to do that, the SHUT THE HELL UP!
Hey Harry, if you get all those tax increases THEN will you provide a budget? I’m not holding my breath.
If all your friends jumped off a cliff would you do it too? Electorate answers on Tuesday...WOOT!! SURE WOULD! Oh! BAA BAA BAA. From despair to anger to resentment to disgust and comtempt.
Show us some good faith. Downsize the inauguration and all the parties. Cut your own sweet goodies. Put yourself on Obamacare status with the rest of us. PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE SENATORS. Block your own paychecks when you don’t come up with a budget and pass it. Discipline and rule YOUR darned selves, then, if you can show you are remotely capable of that, maybe you can start making rules about our lives. How about it?
If we amend what Hussein wants, we will be blamed for the coming catastrophes. Hussein demands bipartisanship, so let's give it to him, and let the Congressional voting rolls show no pubbie opposition.
Let's mark the 100th anniversary of Comrade Woodrow Wilson's election with what the rats deserve, total blame for what they have done to our republic.
.The Senate passed a bill to cut taxes for Americans making less than $250,000, and the House should pass it immediately.”
Don’t worry they probably will and anything else Obama and Reid demand.
“Reid says he can’t work with Romney”
Translation: “Take more money from working Americans or I’ll shut the government down!”
...and he won’t be held accountable for it, he’ll be held up as a hero.
I hate our disgusting media.
