The story here is not the affair!

The story is that Holder knew. And that means the White House knew.

And they let it go.

And who was running the arms dealing in Libya?

Not Petraeus.

How many empires destroyed, countries lost, fortunes stolen and lives ruined due to women?

It's time to either ban them or license them.......they can't be allowed to run around unteathered.

If they didn't have that thing there'd be bounty on them ...

Mossad. Israel is all alone, defending sovereignty, and as such never been known for half measures. Bibi gets obamao.
Let’s hope they are shadowing genl. now to ensure his safety from iranians and/or muslim brotherhood operatives (or even obamaos minions, which is the same thing really).

I surely hope Jennifer Griffin and Catherine Herridge are doing their damnedest to get to the bottom of this...

Because we know as the sun rises..we aren’t seeing the full picture. Yet.

http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/national-international/NATL-CIA-Director-Petraeus-Resigns-Cites-Extra-Marital-Affair-178159541.html

A popular figure in Washington and a media darling, David Petraeus took over as head of the CIA in September 2011 when Leon Panetta took the helm of the Department of Defense. Petraeus kept a much lower profile after transitioning to his new post. His popularity waned as a number of intelligence leaks drew the criticism of Republicans, who accused the CIA and the Obama administration of leaking favorable information for political reasons, and took a bigger blow in the aftermath of the recent attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Politicians and pundits accused him of covering up the true timeline of events that unfolded the night four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed.

The retired four-star general was featured in Newsweek’s special “Hero” issue just this week and provided a dozen tips on leadership in a piece penned by Broadwell, his biographer whom the FBI is reportedly investigating. “We all will make mistakes,” tip number five began. “The key is to recognize them and admit them, to learn from them, and to take off the rear view mirrors—drive on and avoid making them again.”

“Obama knew of a compromised person and put him in the top spot at CIA and deliberately left him there.”

Obama put him there BECAUSE he was compromised. I’m sure that everyone in any position in this administration has a special file. That’s how they’ll control the minions.

Hey, I thought the new societal model for this country was European in origin.

Most Europeans expect this sort of thing. Translation is that we get all of the bad stuff and none of the fun stuff that the Europeans have been enjoying.

“Petraeus was commander of U.S. Forces in Afghanistan from July 4, 2010 until July 18, 2011.”

“The investigation began last spring, but the FBI then pored over his emails when he was stationed in Afghanistan.”

The FBI just happened to see an odd email from Petraeus and spied on him from that point on? And if obama knew he was compromised, why appoint him to the CIA?

The “affair” ended shortly after it began.

How did you figure that out? It seems as though it lasted a lot longer than "shortly?"

Yes this my thought. Why would this woman go after him
I don’t get it he is no Brad Pitt. He was set up as insurance I bet and he took the bait.

I mean if you are a woman and you are working do you screw every man you work with no but in the movies they do she was only an actress IMO

I'm confused. Petraeus resigns from the CIA because he had an affair? Not to say this was OK, I just don't "get" why he would resign. Divorce, maybe. But if the surgeon general had an affair, would they RESIGN? Or the SOS?

And BTW, why is everyone saying this PREVENTS him from testifying in Benghazi-gate?

If anything, he's now a free agent, and can tell everything he knows.

Yes, the MSM will say: "How can you trust a man's word, when he's a cheater?"

Well, MSM, if so, why did you prop up Bill Clinton, then?

Obama may have some sphincter tightening months ahead.

So a writer needs another writer to help her write??

Paula needed Vernon Loeb to help her write the biography?

Sounds like the affair began before the book was started.

Good cover to have your girlfriend accompany you.

They will now use the excuse that because he has lost his clearance, he can’t testify.

All the way back to petraeus rising in the ranks. Nothing to do with affairs. Everything to do with running weapons. Broadwell, it seems, was looking for signs or proof of corruption.

Only guesswork. If “thousands of emails” (how many does a CIA director have time to write in a day?) followed, and it began while he was in Afghanistan (I assume after relieving McCrystal), we’re not talking about anything lasting. Six months? A year? And long-distance at that.
