Now what do we do? (only method that can stop Obama train dead in its tracks)
WND ^ | November 09, 2012 | Joseph Farah

With Barack Obama re-elected to the White House for four more years, half the country is wondering what we can do to limit the damage.

I actually have an answer.

In January 2011, after Republicans took over the House, I launched a campaign that now appears to be our only hope of killing off Obamacare, making Obama’s lame-duck second term a nightmare (for him, that is) and actually moving Washington toward a return to limited, constitutional government.

And all it takes to do it is the cooperation of the House Republican majority.

After Republicans took control of the House in 2010, I began thinking about what a party with control of only one house could do to challenge the president and the other house of Congress. It turns out there’s something very profound that party can do – if it has the will.

That’s where the people come in – the 50 percent of the country that rejected Obama and understands what a danger his agenda represents to America’s future.

My plan has been around ever since. It’s called the “No More Red Ink” campaign – and it’s quite simple. There’s no point in writing to your congressman if he or she is a Democrat. You are not going to convince any Democrats to buck the Obama tide. That’s obvious. But, if the “other 50 percenters” were to join the “No More Red Ink” campaign in lobbying just House Republicans to disapprove of any hike in the debt limit, Obama and Senate Democrats would be hamstrung in implementing Obamacare. It would spell the end to many other outrageous spending programs. It would force $1 trillion cuts in Washington’s annual spending. It would eliminate Planned Parenthood funding, the Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts, PBS and NPR

Its needs to be quite organized and not a one shot deal.
Nothing wrong with having the representatives back and support. Continual and constant reminder letters and activist gatherings....keep the ball rolling so that when 2014 comes around we can turn the tide and increase the House and take back the Senate. I'm in.

Eric Cantor has been Boenher’s butt boy since he became the SPeaker. We need a true conservative - one with some guts like Allen West. However, as usual, the RINOs just take the next in line or those who have been in DC so long we can’t tell the difference between them and the Demonrats.

Re: Start reading books on the French, German and Russian underground.

Absolutely agree!

Also you may want to have your adult family watch some of the WWII movies on Netflix. There are several decent ones particularly foreign ones dealing with the resistance to the Nazis by the civilian populace. And of course let’s not forget the evils of communism and those trying to survive the soul stealing enslavement required to live in the hell created by “socialists.”

Finally, don’t forget the persecution of Christians around the world and their struggle to just survive and practice their faith in communist or muslim third world nations.

New Mexico is full of crazies. Maybe the whole state could be made a recreational park ;-).

We don’t have a hope in Hell against Santa Claus passing out free money. Does anyone really think they defeat “Here, have some free money but vote Democrat to get it”?

I’m no fan of Joseph Farah or wnd but I like this plan. This plan also needs prayer behind it. It is God’s people that causes Him to heal a nation. A humbled people. A turning away from wicked ways. That, has to happen. It may be we as a nation will suffer before people are ready to acknowledge Him in all their ways.

We should also start learning to speak Spanish and Manderin

I'm betting on Arabic.

Right off the top I would suggest that FReepers man the hell up and lean on congress hard. One of the first orders of business is to get Johnny the Jellyfish out of there and put a conservative in the speaker’s position.

Here's one place to start....

Tea Party Caucus members.

For myself, I would propose that the House produce a FY 2014 budget. Pass it. Send it to the Senate.

Then, leave town.

The message to Harry Reid would be that the House will not reconvene nor take any action until such time as the U.S. Senate addresses the proposed FY 2014 budget and passes it, as amended, for review by a Conference Committee. And Harry vows to honor the decision of the Conference Committee.

In its defense, the House should cite the Constitution: The Congress must pass a budget annually.

As it is, our "budgets" are the previous year's budget, plus Porkulus, plus 6-7% "inflation".

This process must cease. And, explained in terms of the Constitutional requirements, 50% of the people would understand their actions...and cheer their efforts.

Economic insurrection through boycotts and reduction in household spending. Save Money, you should be anyway.

Repeal provisions of the 17th amendment that limit the selection of a State Senator through election .... let the State legislature and Governor appoint Senators if they choose to.

Campaign finance reform ... All politicians running for office can only solicit and except campaign donations from entities within their districts or state — and it’s their responsibility to ensure that donations are legal.

My congressman is a member and I sent a message out today to remind him that we still hold the majority in the house and asked that he support replacing Bohener as speaker.

#1. Replace Boehner as speaker
#2. 2014 Senatorial races - take the Senate

But most importantly, what we really need to do is organize a massive nation-wide campaign to promote, educate, and convert people to Conservatism. The schools, media, and families aren’t getting the job done and this election proves “we” are in the minority. Hoping people listen to Rush isn’t going to fix that, we need an effort that is is as powerful and determined to this goal as the combined efforts of the MSM plus Pop Culture plus Unionized Teachers plus Democrat party propaganda machine are on the other side.

I can see problems right away with this plan. Should I start with convincing Boehner to oppose POTUS, or the outlandish idea that the 'Pubs will vote as a bloc, with none defecting?

Also, I doubt the Obama administration would stop spending anyway. He's ruled by EO since '10 with no one challenging him - I suspect he'd keep writing checks and dare someone to stop him.

I can’t argue with that but the liberals hate him of course they hate everybody who doesn’t cowtail to them. Who do you think would be best? We really do need a true conservative but I am still shell shocked by Tuesday night and can’t think of anyone.
