ABC ^ | 10/16/12 | Devin Dwyer

Posted on 11/10/2012 4:26:49 PM PST by GlockThe Vote

President Obama tonight said he’s interested in seeing an assault weapons ban reintroduced, breaking his silence on the legislation, which has persisted in spite of at least five mass shootings during his term.

Indeed... :^)

Victor Charlie thought so too...although I’m betting they didn’t get much chance to compliment him on his marksmanship... nor were they inclined too, seeing as how the 7.62mm hole in their heads kinda sorta put a damper on communications....ya know?

We need more Americans just like Gunny Hatchcock, Chuck Mahwinny, Ed Land, etc...lots and lots more, especially right now.

I disagree. It's not bravery. It is cowardace. IIRC, it's exactly how they passed the first AWB.

Boy - am I glad I don’t own any guns - nope not-a-one - they all went down to the bottom of a lake in New Hampshire when my canoe sank....

Was that ever clever of you. I don't think I've read such witty stuff.

If you haven't already, see my post 101, but more particularly, see CodeToad's post 107 for a more complete understanding.

You didn’t need a binoculars to see this coming.

I lost all of my weapons in the big duck hunting incident.

Guns? What guns?

I'm disappointed in you, Venturer. I've followed a lot of your posts and thought them better than average, and so I thought you were rather above this childish but time-honored stupidity of "guns lost in a boating accident." See CodeToad's explanation of why in his post 107, in response to my post 101.

Well: It’s been a running joke for some time, but we all know that it won’t stop the Obama and UN Gestapo when they come for our guns.

We also know what will stop them. or at least slow them down.

Just because I’m not wringing my hands doesn’t mean I don’t understand what’s going on (and likewise prepared) - and demeaning fellow gun-owners because they don’t react the way you do just seems so desperate of you guys.

I’ve got at least as much to lose as you do - I do get serious but don’t stay in “panic mode” - it’s just too damned draining.

Hey - we may someday find ourselves fighting next to each other - let’s cut other patriots some slack - if we don’t the Leftists already have us beat.

“They are not that brave.”

You’re right, which is why this will get passed on a voice vote on the weekend. They are not counting on it sparking a confrontation. They think it will be 1994 again. That was a Saturday vote IIRC.

“Don’t you guys worry ‘bout nuthin. The NRA’s got their good buddy Harry Reid in their pocket and that’s that. /s”

That’s has just got to be the biggest reason it will pass! Dingy Harry has been dying to pull off this stunt.

And you think the “we must respect foreign law” Supreme Court who also agreed that Obamacare was a legitimate tax would back that up?

You might want to look at the circumstances surrounding the first AWB.

I didn't ask about a piece of legislation. The Democrats are known cheaters in that regard.

I asked whether they'd ever pulled any shenanigans on treaty ratification. Which, given the Constitutional ramifications, is a bit more serious.

I'm not aware that they've ever done so.

In any event, my entire point was that it takes a 2/3 majority of the Senate (voting) to ratify a treaty. Accordingly, the GOP should be able to defeat this abominable treaty, even if the Democrats cheat -- if they're paying attention.

Not likely, but that’s a separate issue from the fallacious treaty v Constitution assertion.

The Ønazis have pretty toys in the hands of substandard minds .. liberating one of more of them should be part of everyone's contingency thinking.

Don’t forget who Obama’s good friend is, despite his lies to the contrary. Bill Ayers.... Weather Underground.... willing to murder 25 million Americans that stood in the way of their agenda back in the 60’s. Just imagine how many millions they’re willing to eliminate now (See Romney ballots tally for close estimate).
