I hope legendary commander is sarcasm. Petreaus has had more conquests in the boudoir than the battlefield. He is still looking for his first win, which in the old fogey days was the standard for legendary commanders.
US military conquests these days are of the political, pentagon-climbing and PR variety. In that, Gen. Petraeus was legendary.
