Exactly! It’s just another way of “nudging” the masses into doing what they’re going to have to do anyway...once the leftist policies are in full-fledged destruction mode.

See, in the Olden Days, the nation was more morally cohesive and had a better sense of its own history, and therefore could band together in time of war. Rationing during wartime was therefore accepted by the populace.

Today the nation is not morally cohesive, instead, it it amoral and hedonistic. How therefore (absent a real war directed towards an external enemy) to convince the populace of the need for rationing? Health (can be read as narcissism) and the environment (narcissism directed towards a spurious outside cause).
