AMEN!!! Regardless of the reasons “Why”...we need to figure out “How” to bring them in the fold! I’m a Conservative Hispanic who’s NOT looking for a freebie from Govt but I, and a lot of others like, are starting to get sick of the comments assuming we’re all the same and that we want “Free” things...I want govt off my back just like most of you! To expand my business, to hire people, etc... Instead of complaining about why most minorities groups are not voting conservatives you too need to look in the mirror and realize ( whether justified or not) that the perception is growing, by the day, that conservatives (and GOP) are racist! You need take this challenge head on and have rallies, marches, events, ethnic festivals, etc...in the heart of the liberal strongholds (big cities, blue states) and challenge these socialist in THEIR TURF! This is now trench warfare (of ideas) and you’ve allowed these leftist enter and convert places like Florida, VA, OH, IA, CO, etc....WAKE UP Conservstives! WAKE UP...

We will start seeing a Conservative/GOP turnaround when we start seeing outreach centers in strip malls in ethnic neighborhoods. Want the Vietnamese vote? Get a storefront next to the nail salon. Want the Hispanic vote? Get a storefront next to the burrito restaurant. The Conservative/GOP presence is great at showing up at big rallies but needs to be at least equally great in maintaing a humble and consistent presence among the people it wishes to reach, and not just when elections roll around.

AMEN! You are right. We have to win the battle of ideas, and that means convincing more people that our ideas are correct, not chasing them away.

The real divide is between people who want to live their lives as free people, and people who want to be taken care of by the state, or who believe the short term benefit of getting something from the state is more important than the long term health of our nation.

Anyone who is voting for a candidate because they'll get free birth control, or a phone, instead of thinking "why would I want the government involved in my personal affairs?" hasn't yet learned the cost of their decision, or simply hopes to take the benefit now and somehow avoid the cost later. Or they believe that the government really is like a surrogate parent, and will help them throughout their life.

Many young people, even the descendants of immigrants who escaped tyranny, don't understand how fast the government can turn from good to evil. They should all meet someone who has seen tyranny up close and personal.
