Your initial premise is wrong.

The DLEMM - Dominant Liberal Establishment Mass Media - is not mainstream. They're leftists and leftists are not mainstream. People need to stop referring to them as if they are. Correct but irrelevant. 4 years ago I tried to get freepers to drop MSM from our vocabulary in favor of my favorite "Old Media" for the reason you stated. "Mainstream" reinforced their power.

They are what they are, no matter what we call them now. I still favor Old Media and it's not too late to start. They will soon be Old Media.
