He said he had arrived just as the gunfire was beginning to crackle and had sought to break up a traffic jam around the demonstration. After fleeing for a time, he said, he entered the compound at the end of the battle because he was asked to help try to rescue four Libyan guards working for the Americans who were trapped inside. Although the attackers had set fire to the main building, Mr. Abu Khattala said he had not noticed anything burning.

Interesting. I think we’re suddenly getting close to the real reason for all this. Obviously, Petraeus would have known it, and evidently his sweetie found out about it.

But why is Obama so desperate to deny it? Possibly simply because he attacked Bush for the CIA prisons, interrogations and renditions...or possibly because Obama didn’t know about it and this was actually a CIA prison/interrogation center aimed at protecting the US and Obama was irate when he found out about it?
