Re: trip in front of Congressional hearings, what does his personal life have to do with appearing before Congress? Can’t think of any legitimate reason he should not be able to get his backside into these hearings. We deserve to know what went wrong.

You are assuming that the affair was real, and not a ruse.

You are also assuming that his wife was not complicit in the situation.

I suspect he did have an affair. But that is not a common reason for quitting.
