According to ABC, campaign manager Matt Rhoades told Romney: 'We would rather lose with you than win with anyone else.'
Colleagues also stood and clapped for Rhoades and Mitt's 'Body Man,' Garrett Jackson who often tweeted behind-the-scenes pictures during his many hours at Romney's side on the campaign trail.
The defeat was a stunning blow to the Republican camp who had been confident they would win even in the last few hours of the campaign.

Remember, Mitt had to take time out to watch his HORSE at the Olympics during the campaign...should have known the...though I DID like him...

those who noticed, Mitt was like this from day 1. (against grassroots activities) When Fred Thompson dropped out of NH in ‘08, a group of us in western NH hit every town for McCain to beat Mitt. Mitt’s strategy was to do everything from central Hdqtrs in Boston/Manchester.
The locals notice when you don’t show up. Some of the little towns, we smoked Mitt by 3 to 1 even though it was close statewide.
In ‘12, Mitt finished 3rd place in western NH small towns behind Huntsman and ronPaul. Mitt does suburbs, but never small towns.
OH FL VA IA WS CO NV ... do any of those swing states have small towns?
With aspirations like that how could he do anything but win .... or lose???
It’s telling when (Bendict Carl Rove) was more successful with GW than Mitt Romney and that even McCain (Sarah Palin)! was more effective..
On the positive side it may open up a few hearts to the truth of Jesus Christ-the Gospel as stated in the Bible, and away from the “church” of LDS-now that their “White Horse prophecy” has failed! -JS
