Drew Rosenberg became a victim of San Francisco's sanctuary-city policies Nov. 16, 2010. The second-year law student was riding his motorcycle in rush-hour traffic, when a car driven by an unlicensed driver made a left turn and hit him. That evening, Don Rosenberg of Westlake Village, Calif., received the phone call every parent dreads. His precious son was dead.
Then another nightmare unfolded.
As Rosenberg investigated driver Roberto Galo's background, he discovered that San Francisco's sanctuary-city policies have served as an enabler for dangerous drivers.
Rosenberg sees his son's death as highly preventable. Five months earlier, San Francisco police stopped Galo for driving the wrong way on a one-way street and driving without a license. The city even impounded his Chevrolet the car that later would kill Drew Rosenberg which a friend recovered and then released to Galo.
I write "even impounded" because, though it is illegal to drive without a license, in 2009 then-Mayor Gavin Newsom implemented a policy to allow unlicensed drivers stopped by police to avoid an automatic impoundment of their cars
...
Rosenberg asked Rep. Henry Waxman's office to make sure Galo would be deported. Waxman aides tell me that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement told them that Galo was guilty of only one crime of moral turpitude manslaughter.
Rosenberg fears ICE is going to let Galo stay.
"It basically shows that the Obama administration is looking for reasons to allow people to stay here even if they have committed offenses that are dangerous to the public,"

I foresee a huge, thriving business for revenge killers in California.
If that father took some sort of personal revenge against that driver, or the politicians who are enabling and protecting this behavior, I have to say I’d find it hard to condemn him.
Gascon seemed like a pro-illegal type when he was here in Mesa, AZ.
This is happening all over.
yeah, but judges don’t abide by that silly old idea of jury nullification any more.
They still do; they just really, really hate it.
They are trying to end it, but once they do the game's up: the authority to decide guilt includes the power to say 'not guilty.'
Interesting.
I posed this scenario to a friend who thinks all Latino’s have a right to be here.
After I explained what the effect of illegal immigration js and especially when they are covered in sanctuary cities “What is the incentive for a person who is here illegally to obtain a drivers license and insurance soyI are covered in the event you have an accident?”
Nothing but crickets....and just the other day an illegal let her autistic child stay in their car while they went shopping.
We came to my friends car and the autistic kid was banging her door into my friend’s car.
The mother came along and my friend layer into her.
The lady FK’d up and started speaking in Spanish.
Well, that was stoopit, we both speak Spanish.
Weirdly the woman reverted back to engrish and started saying how hard it is ti take care of her autistic child.
She wouldn’t stop with her martyr crap and trying to play us.
My friend took her info but let it go later.
Just another lib.
I’d made her pay. You are the parent, which makes you responsible for well.... Every thing your child does.
It’s one of your special responsibilities.
If jury nullification is voided, then juries become nothing but a rubber stamp for the State. Of course, not to say it won't happen considering how the Obama Regime treats the Constitution like so much Charmin.
The son was killed by an illegal alien in L.A. B@stard was driving drunk on his ass, whole family in car, with no registration, license, or insurance. Lied about who was driving. Cops figured out he was driving. They never even arrested him. Just turned him loose to commit more carnage. The boyfriend and his new wife moved to Las Vegas, where, some years later, a hit-and-run driver ran down one of the girls, the younger one. Witnesses said he drove a white van and looked Hispanic. AFAIK, that b@stard was never apprehended.
My ex was depressed after the death of his son, but died not long after his daughter was mowed down. He was in home hospice for hte last year of his life, for severe congestive heart failure. The loss of his children killed him.
There are so many things wrong with this scenario. Not going to rant anymore; but IMO these b@stards belong back in their home countries, where it's acceptable to drive drunk, not here killing off our citizens.
