...President Obama intends to close "persistent gaps" between whites and minorities in everything from credit scores and homeownership to test scores and graduation rates.
His remedy — short of new affirmative-action legislation — is to sue financial companies, schools and employers based on "disparate impact" complaints — a stealthy way to achieve racial preferences, opposed 2 to 1 by Americans.
Under this broad interpretation of civil-rights law, virtually any organization can be held liable for race bias if it maintains a policy that negatively impacts one racial group more than another — even if it has no racist motive and applies the policy evenly across all groups.
Equal Outcomes
This means that even race-neutral rules for mortgage underwriting and consumer credit scoring potentially can be deemed racist if prosecutors can produce statistics showing they tend to result in adverse outcomes for blacks or Latinos.
Already, Attorney General Eric Holder has used the club of disparate-impact lawsuits to beat almost $500 million in loan set-asides and other claims out of the nation's largest banks.
In addition to the financial settlements — which include millions in funding for affordable-housing activists — Bank of America, Wells Fargo and SunTrust have all agreed to adopt more minority-friendly lending policies...

I believe veterans preference points apply to only federal jobs currently. For unemployment veterans get preference for non federal jobs.
But if already employed preference doesn’t apply to non federal jobs.
I could be wrong if something updated recently.

Wonderful. Never go to classes or study, and get straight A’s and a diploma anyway. And if obama gets his way, whitey will have to foot the college costs.

My thought in using that keyword was to examine how fast and stealthily the Obama Adm would move after the election to implement his agenda before anybody had time to notice or complain --- a scandal in itself.

Easier said than done! When SCOTUS throws out section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, and Affirmative Action later on this term, this will be almost impossible to implement.

I was overstating the issue, the veteran’s preference has been limited. Now, someone like me, for example, who was not in one of the recent wars, but was in the Reserves during Kuwait, cannot even claim the veteran’s preference to any avail.

As usual, Congress is the institution that is slacking. it won;t impeach, it rarely applies legislative corrective measures, and it is so bad, that Congress sees fit to blame the president for the national debt, and for spending, and for tax policy.

The strangest thing about Obama’s re-election is that those checks have in fact been reduced (due to inflation); blacks are worse off than four years ago (like most others), but apparently still vote based on color.

Don’t confuse tactics and strategy. The race baiting is a tactic, not an end goal. The goal is to make it harder to run a business independent of the state. The Marxists are just using what tools they have available. Next up is the environmental strangulation. Then tax dodging, etc...
