As I understand it, the General received treatment for prostate cancer. Was he capable of having an affair other than platonic? I raise this question since I am a prostate cancer survivor.

Relationships can be romantic without being sexual, and that may have been the case with Petraeus and this woman. However, I doubt either party is going to raise the “we-made-out-but-didn't-go-all-the-way” defense!

You bring up an excellent point. Most men the General’s age who have prostrate cancer surgery find their ability to perform sexually gone or diminished.
Interestingly enough we can throw flames at the General for having a relationship with a woman when he is thousands of miles from home for extended periods of time yet we give a pass to some of Republican, Conservative Leaders who have had affairs while married and living the good life in DC.
I'm not condoning, I just sayin.

You should know far better than I that there are prostate cancer treatments that do not result in impotence.
Too many types and variations of prostate cancer.
But then I am not a physician and do not play one on TV.
Seems clear at this point that the relationship was sexual...
