As Twitchy has been reporting, the layoff bomb has detonated. Many companies, both large and small, have been forced to lay off workers due to President Obama’s re-election. With no hope of Obamacare being repealed, they are now forced to lay off employees in order to stay in business.
But it’s not just layoffs. Some companies are also contemplating cutting hours. Sadly, many companies have already done so.
Part-time is the new full-time in Obamaville.
This doesn’t just hurt the workers, who now have to try to live on a far more meager salary. It hurts the country as a whole.

Other than thinking you're dramatically under-estimating black unemployment and the number of people on food stamps (we're near 40 million now) no way in hell I'm taking that bet!
That's what they thought they were getting, but Obamacare is not free health care. Not only did they get their hours cut, but they are now responsible for paying for their own health insurance.
After getting kicked once they may not know they were kicked a second time. :-)
Black unemployment is already at 22% in some areas.
I am so angry at nobama supporters that I hope all have their hours cut and that they suffer for what they are doing to America. Suffer you parasitic societal degenerates.
Our household depends on my husband’s part time job to make ends meet, but last week he was informed that his hours will be shortened. Pfftt, from a part-time job..can you imagine that?! :(

Wait until someone discovers the little know sub clause that says ‘hours’ is THE SUM TOTAL OF ALL HOURS WORKED. If your sum total exceeds the minimum, then all employments must provide health care.
It’s machine politics...normally a system in place by the party bosses and their allies in cities like Chicago to dominate, now in place at the national level by Obama.
Helping the elite and super rich to establish a power base with the rhetoric attached to convince the public it is to help “the people” to get their votes to keep them in power.
Once Obamacare is firmly in place, Obama will just eliminate the part-time distinction and alter the requirement so that all employees must be covered by an employer - even those working only 15 minutes a week.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see employers eventually forced to provide eternal medical coverage for all employees and former employees.
It is then that some business owners will then just throw their hands up and decide they will just cash in - they’ve made their money - who needs all of this grief - and just shut down. Those are the lucky ones - others will just shut down due to going under that are smaller operations.

Please go apply for food stamps and other aid. At least then I will have the pleasure of thinking that someone decent and hardworking is getting benefits from all the freaking taxes I pay!

Producers can always carve down their production to the bare minimum for their own use.

There is another consequence to this scenario that is favorable to Obama. When switching out all these employees to part time with less hours, the employer still has to run his business with presumably the same amount of work-hours. Therefore they will have to hire more part time workers to take up the slack. Presto, the unemployment rate goes down with the hiring of more part time workers.
