Yes, but in all the states where Republicans control the redistricting process (i.e. most states) Republicans do the same thing.
For instance, in NC even though more voters voted for Democrat rep candidates, our new Congressional delegation is something like 8-R and 4-D or so.
I am sorry, but gerrymandering is why we control the House. Unfortunately it’s not because the electorate is somehow still innately conservative.
In North Carolina a Republican won the governorship. That was a conservative victory. Period. End of paragraph.
