There was a loud and very colorful KKK rally and counter-protest in Charlotte, North Carolina over the weekend.
Counter-protesters brought squeaky toys, whistles, noise-makers, and red noses... but it was no ordinary clown circus.
Tom Strini, a clown-dressed counter-protester, said, "Instead of meeting hate with hate, they were going to meet hate with love."
Lacey Williams of the Latin American Coalition said, "The straight-up message from us is...you look silly."
The clowns were protesting a National Socialist Movement's white power rally which included Ku Klux Klan members.
One of the original rally participants said they were making a statement, "We stand in defense of white people all over the country."
But the clown rally had an answer for that, "We're dressed like clowns and you're the ones that look funny."
The counter-protesters outnumbered the visitors five to one, answering chants of "white power" with "Dwight power" and "white flour." They even modified a big of pop culture by singing "the Nazis are bananas.. b a n a n a s."
A city councilman in a clown nose said, "We're just a great big happy melting pot."
The overall point the counter-protesters were making was that no one there was going to take their hate speech seriously.

I’m sure when it comes to reporting, the MSM has the KKK and the American version of the NSDAP as an off spring of the Tea Party.

Wow. These people are so disconnected from reality that there’s no saving them. Do they see the irony of a “Latin American Coalition” protesting a group that is a White American Coalition? Or the fact that they just re-elected a socialist President and are protesting another socialist group?
Can they see that the “melting pot” implies giving up racial, ethnic, and national identity to become nothing but American! What happened to the “salad bowl” that leftists, and especially hispanics, love to claim that we have become.
Yet the hate speech from the new black panthers, farrakan, rev wright and the muslims in this country go un noticed more like avoided for fear of becoming called racists. Stupid guilty white folk afraid to face the music. It’s a two way street thier side of the street has no obstructions while ours have many and most is coming from the guilty white folk with flowers in thier hair and empty heads

Great idea! Conservatives ought to attend Obummer’s inauguration in clown gear. After all, Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” endorses ridicule as a tool to be used against the ruling class. But of course, the Obama media wouldn’t cover it. They only cover Leftist demonstrations,

LOL. I doubt that. There really are white supremacists and separatists in this country, just as there are latin supremacists and separatists and black supremacists and separatists.
We’re not a melting pot. Democrats have determined that they can import voters and win elections by exploiting these people’s racial and cultural differences. They want these people to be different and not assimilate. The democrat party doesn’t want the KKK to go away either because they need these different groups to feel scared and perpetuate the belief that America is a racist country. So, the KKK and the democrat party will always belong to each other. Democrats have ruined the country.
You know...the thought of a parking lot strewn with the dead liberals dressed as clowns is kind of amusing in a way.

There is nothing about this in the Charlotte Observer. I searched for “KKK” and “Ku Klux Klan,” as well as checking the main, local, crime, and commentary pages. Nothing.
Even Google (with “KKK Rally Charlotte”) shows only your item. The other results discuss a march that was planned in Iredell County back in May. (Whether it happened or not, I don’t know or care.)
This leads me to believe that your source is a fiction website. They fooled me, I must admit, with the clown-councilman: that was extremely realistic.
