He didn’t say but I’m hoping he picked up the tab. I’ve done that for active duty when I get the chance. It’s easy. Just tell the waiter to quietly bring you the bill to pay and then when you’re gone, they tell the dinners.
Veteran’s day has turned into free food at restaurants day (at least around here) which Mr. Mercat loves since he gets to go out with his friends and eat for free.
The price of freedom can be seen at a VA hospital. Freedom is very expensive.
