The only way to keep Texas red is to shut down the border and run all the illegals out to other solid red states to dilute them. Or, send them packing south. Since the federales have no desire to enforce border security for obvious reasons (i.e. democratic voters), it is only a matter of time.

What about Californians moving to Texas like MA voters moving to NH ? How are you going to put a border on that?
