I’ve read that there are approx. 8,000 absentee military ballots that were cast in this race and they have yet to be counted.
If West can force an automatic recount he can prolong the process. That may buy the time he needs to get the military ballots included.
So I can see why the Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker wants to wrap this up before that happens. If she can somehow get Murphy declared the certified winner, those military ballots will never get counted.
A West victory at this point lies in those military ballots, IMO.

Don’t know the Florida law on this but it would seem to me Walker is guilty of outright election fraud, she should be nailed.
