I have stopped giving to charity in every respect. No food to the food banks, not clothes to the goodwill no cash to the salvation army, united way, and any other campaign that seeks donations.

Zero. I am done with it. All the money I would have given to charity is now being spent on ammunition and other things to keep my family healthy and safe when the defecation hits the rotary oscillator.

I don’t wish harm on anyone, but I am sure that if they managed to get out and vote, they pulled the lever for our current President. It is a lesson to be learned for them.

I understand about not giving at all. I've wrestled with that very thought, and believe me when I say vengeance upon the takers has crossed my mind. But charity benefits both the giver and the receiver, and it is by far the better path for me and mine. Normally, I would rely on Matthew 25 for justification of my actions, however both the first reading and the gospel message at this past Sunday's mass both discuss the poor - the faithfulness of the poor widow baking the last of her flour to make a cake for Elijah, and the generosity of the poor widow whose two small coins amounted to great generosity, and was witnessed by Jesus.

I will certainly vet my giving to the best of my ability, but simply because Obama is president is no reason for me not to maintain a generosity of spirit and an eye toward the welfare of the TRULY needy.
