Missouri Auditor Tom Schweich is planning to review the Department of Social Services administration of two assistance programs.
Schweich says the audit will focus on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and the Electronic Benefit Transfer process, which is used to access food stamps.
The audit has been added to the 2013 schedule for Schweichs office.
Schweich pointed to recent reports of benefits being accessed from casinos, gentlemens clubs and locations around the world.
He says the assistance programs are not intended to finance recipients entertainment or to pay for their vacations.

Racist.
Off to the gulag with him.
Surely the newly re-elected Democrat US Senator from Missouri will put a stop to this blatant right-wing effort to deny basic nutrition to hungry sex and gambling addicts.

In a previous life, I was a contractor and had a customer pay me in these things because he couldn’t pay me in cash. After I read the rules on using them, I was afraid of breaking the law and ended up selling them back to him for 80 cents on the dollar. I talked to other contractors who had dealt with that sort of thing and they told me I was very lucky to get 80 cents.
According to a bud of mine who works in the Philly area, they had poorer turnouts for free cheese and butter than they do for a typical off-year election.
They never dropped the government cheese.
That is now given away without any kind of ID or means testing at food banks every week.
Someone gave me a brink of it once. It was terrible!! I was raised on a Wisconsin dairy farm & I never tasted such horrid cheese before in my whole life.!!
