GILBERT, Ariz. — A Mesa woman critically injured her husband by running over him with an SUV during an argument over the presidential election, police said.
Holly Solomon, 27, opposed President Barack Obama’s re-election and was upset that her husband didn’t vote, authorities said....

He was trying to teach her how to drive, and she thought the “R” on the stick shift meant “Republican” and the “D” meant “Democrat”
