TORONTO — Police are investigating after a war memorial was vandalized on Remembrance Day in Toronto.
The Victory Peace memorial in Coronation Park was defaced with the words “Canada will burn praise Allah” written in what appeared to be black marker.
City workers were called in to clean the bronze memorial, built in the 1990s.
Someone walking through the park on Sunday noticed the vandalism and reported it to authorities.
Police say they don’t have any suspects at the moment.

Fools....Don't they know in Canada all graffiti must be written in both English and French?
It seems so many of these Muslim immigrants are really an amazing bunch.
Most other peoples who emigate to a foreign land that receives them and even welcomes them (and with, as in Canada, all sorts of “free” welfare, educational, and health programs) are appreciative.
Certainly most other immigrant groups do not openly show contempt for, or hostility towards, their hosts.
Why are we bringing these hostile elements in, anyway?
I read someplace this kind of dung can be cleaned with pig blood and urine from a frog.
Here in the States it is written in Spanish....press one to be told FO in English.

Every “moderate” Muslim is a potential terrorist. The belief in Islam is like a tank of gasoline. It looks innocuous, until it meets the fire. For a “moderate” Muslim to become a murderous jihadist, all it takes is a spark of faith.
It is time to put an end to the charade of “moderate Islam.” There is no such thing as moderate Muslim. Muslims are either jihadists or dormant jihadists – moderate, they are not.

Graffiti makes the national news? Canadians are sensitive, aren’t they?
It’s not the graffiti, per say, that is the issue here. It’s the desecration of a war memorial.
It's tacky, but if it's no more than five words written with a Magic Marker, it seems like the best approach is to immediately and quietly clean it up. Making a national issue of it benefits the perpetrator.

It hardly benefits the perpetrator. We don’t even know who he, she, it is. There is some speculation that the perp is not Muslim, but everyone seems to be assuming it is. If the perp isn’t a Muslim, and is trying to pretend to be Muslim and to portray Muslims as ignoramuses, then this act certainly succeeds. There is a huge upswing of interest in honouring veterans of wars Canada has fought in, so this was likely timed for maximum effect, although the effect may not be what the perp wanted.
