Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), three key Republican players on immigration, told The Hill they're ready to start working on broad-based reforms next year that could include a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently in the United States.

I wonder, did the Good Old Panderers pushing for amnesty give their kids a pony every time they stomped their feet and said “I hate you”?

Mark Levin was making this point on the radio. Republicans don’t get anything by doing amnesty. Except, of course, a lot of new voters who are going to vote Democrat.

Look, we are not going to award amnesty and citizenship and voting rights to their estimated 12 million aliens (actually 25 million or more aliens) who are in our country illegally, thereby slitting our own throats. America will be doomed!! I’m sorry if they chose to come here illegally but we must enforce our borders and our laws!!

McCain Graham, Rubio, Hatch, et al, are INSANE!!

Jim,

I’ve never advocated amnesty, (read my previous posts on this thread).

We have a problem that requires leadership....Rubio has stepped up but we have yet to see his plan....

We don’t know if Amnesty is truly on the table or not.....

What we need to do is have a sane, conservative and humane solution....

I agree, McLame, Grahm and Hatch are political RINO’s...

Let’s see what Rubio proposes....he has earned my respect to at least hear him out...

BTW, I meant Grand Poohbah of conservative values in the most endearing way :^)

You want to make excuses for this POS, you go right ahead...not me! This guy also coauthored legislation that took free speech rights away from other Americans (remember McCain-Feingold?). If you didn't mean it that way, my apologies,...

I'm not making excuses. I do not know what he was like before his imprisonment. I am simply trying to understand why he is the way he is.

I am fed up with politicos ignoring the Constitution. Obamacare was the last straw, I thought--forced assembly is a gross violation of the 1st amendment not to mention there is no delegated power authorizing such legislation (or 80% of what the Fed's of overseer for.) Robert's betrayal came as a fist in the gut. Now, with the reelection of Obama, I now realize that is it over. I used to have hope for change. But no longer. Ceccession or civil war remain our only options at this point.

That’s a good deal for Canada, although I’d prefer if you gave us Kentucky and Tennessee as well and you kept Ohio. We’ll just send 100,000 Chinese immigrants each year to repopulate Detroit and turn it into an economic powerhouse. The muslims in Michigan can move to DC.

We don’t know the details, yet. If illegals have to go through background checks in both the US and their home countries, show continuous residence and steady employment in the US, and are prevented from voting for 10 years, I would be in favor of it.

Wow, the number keeps going down. Curious.

Jim, there is not the political will to expel 12 million much less 25 million people, most of them children. Our only chance to gain the Hispanic vote is to come out for common sense immigration reform now and pray to God that it is enough.

The GOP is dead if it cannot secure the Hispanic vote. Nothing is more important.

Gain the Hispanic vote? Is this what tossing out the constitution, the rule of law, national security and destroying our economy is all about? Why don’t we just write to Santa Claus?

Don’t get upset with me, but Why not?

Mexico deported or set the stage for them to go north, but WE CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THEM BACK SOUTH OF THE BORDER? I guess that third world nation is SMARTER than us.

If that is true, we are incompetent and do not deserve a country.

There are moral reasons to support mass expulsion. Do you really want to tear millions of children away from the only home they have ever known and loved? Such an action is cruel beyond words.

The Constitution gives Congress the authority to determine rules of naturalization, and our economy would be devastated by the loss of so many workers.

>>The GOP is dead if it cannot secure the Hispanic vote. Nothing is more important.<<

The majority of the Hispanic population in this country hovers around the poverty line.

Wonder if the GOP will compete with the Pubs for the most assistance/handouts to attract this voting block?

What would a poor Hispanic with little more than a pot to piss in have in common with middle-upper middle class to the wealthy?

Answer...nothing. Many speak little if no English, uneducated and hold no loyalties to America other than the juice they can suck out of her.

Good luck with that, Grand Old Party!

Don't be STUPID.

Seal the border BEFORE talking amnesty.
