'Politico' Peddles Smear Of Dick Morris
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 11/14/2012 5:27:00 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Politico is peddling a misleading liberal-media attack on Dick Morris. Item from Politico's "Morning Score" today [emphasis added]: "DICK MORRIS, who has not been taken seriously by serious people for a very long time, confessed on Fox News yesterday that he deliberately misled viewers: 'I think that there was a period of time when the Romney campaign was falling apart, people were not optimistic, nobody thought there was a chance of victory and I felt that it was my duty at that point to go out and say what I said.'

There's just one problem. As Professor William Jacobson has pointed out at Legal Insurrection, Politico--and Taegan Goddard at Political Wire whom Politico cites for its quote-- conveniently omitted the final part of Morris's statement, in which he said "And at the time that I said it, I believe I was right." In other words, Morris had not, contrary to Politico's claim, "deliberately misled" viewers. He believed what he was saying.

More after the jump.

You can’t smear a guy who’s already admitted to being a toe-sucker.

I hate to pile on Morris, but this guy has a crappy record when it comes to predicting outcomes.

I really hope both Morris and Rove just go away. Shame doesn’t seem to hold the value it once did.

Dick Morris does a good job of smearing himself with his cluelessness.

Whatever people think of Morris, and I understand there are reasons to have reservations about him, I wouldn’t give a pass to the MSM when they collude on this kind of inaccurate, unwarranted smear.

Those genuinely gullible enough to take Dick "This Little Piggy" Morris even remotely seriously -- after his spectacularly public record of predictive electoral belly flops, over the past twenty years or so -- would just as readily allow themselves to be talked into joining a late-night snipe hunt... armed with left-handed monkey wrenches. ;)

I'm no Morris fan---and he's clearly trying to save his skin after multiple predictions of a landslide Romney victory and massive Repub victories in the House/Sen.

However, Morris' major "sin" was not factoring in the massive voter fraud the O Team was micromanaging from Day One.

==============================================

It is now crystal clear why Obama seemingly "screwed-up" at the crucial first prez debate---giving Romney a huge opening (or so it seemed).

O's debate screwup was no accident----he said he was "being polite" to Romney---b/c he knew the crooked election was in the bag for him.

Ohaha and his cunning, sinister crew knew then that O would win...... no matter what Romney did or said. B/c the WH orders had already gone out----their massive voter fraud operation was already in place

======================================

I recall an odd incident as the campaign got underway----Axelrod took CBS News on a tour of what was being billed as O's campaign war room. But to my eyes---it was completely staged----there were people sitting at computers and at desks---but nothing was going on.

I now believe O had literally no campaign operation b/c they had the whole thing fixed from the get go. Oh sure---they went through the motions--but it was all faked.

O says he had the "first" billion dollar campaign---so did he report to the FEC where he spent all that money?

Hah.

ANSWERING MY OWN QUESTION---as if his FEC reports (if any) will be scrutinized. Not likely.

================================================

All the crucial swing states have Repub Secy's of State---they could have easily found the voter fraud. Romney should not have conceded---he remained duped and sap-happy til the end......like McDumbo/McCain.

===================================================

REFERENCE Pre-election mark o'malley excerpt: "Every campaign, of course, believes it’s going to win. Obama’s team, however, conveys such a visceral sense of self-confidence that even protestations to the contrary take on air of comically profane absurdity......"

NOW THIS IS EERY---B/C AXEL ADMITS HE KNEW WHO WAS GOING TO WIN---O'MALLEY: Axelrod’s way of saying that he thinks the election is already over. . . “The (Romney camp has) this fantasy that the debates will come and the dam will break like it did in 1980,” Axelrod said. “I think they are delusional.”

Clearly the sinister Axelrod knew the outcome even before the debates began. Axelrod: “The (Romney camp) didn’t give people anything to grab on to, and they allowed us to define him before he could define himself,” Axelrod says of Romney.

SAY WHAT? Early on, O's campaign spent an astounding $300 million to tarnish Bain/Romney-----with little or no effect. Romney kept climbing in the polls----virtually every poll had Romney ahead.

Make no mistake---massive voter fraud took place---the Ohaha connivers were confident of victory b/c they were micromanaging the fraud from Day One.

=======================================================

We've seen some pretty shady characters in the political game---but no campaign has produced the likes of the Chi/Mob con artists running Ohaha's sleazy game.

David Axelrod has shown himself to be The Most Sinister Character ever to surface in politics. Axel, Valerie whatsherface, Rahm Emanuel, m/m Ohaha---are the kingpins of crooked Chi/politics---they are very practiced at fixing elections. They know all the sleazy tricks.

Ha! It's just like these republican dipshinolas that won't take seriously RINOS ARE LOSERS! Even with the evidence of 3 recent elections starring them right in the face.

A very, very INcomplete of Dick "Socks Are Just Fuzzy Condoms, Basically" Morris predictions... just from this last electoral cycle alone, mind:

Mitt Romney Will Defeat President Obama In "A Landslide" [Fox News, Hannity, 2/27/12] [Fox News, America Live, 11/5/12]

Republicans Are "Going To Win 10 Seats In The Senate" [Fox News, Hannity, 2/27/12]

"It's Very Possible" Obama Will Drop Out Of The Presidential Race [Premiere Radio Networks, The Sean Hannity Show, 9/28/11]

Donald Trump Is "Going To Run" For President And "He Could Beat Obama" [Salem Radio Network, The Mike Gallagher Show, 4/28/12]

Herman Cain "Will Overcome" Sexual Misconduct Allegations [Fox News, Hannity, 11/28/11]

Michele Bachmann Will "Probably" Win Or "Have A Strong Second" In Iowa [Fox News, Hannity, 8/15/11]

Yup. Natural born genius, this guy. Yupyupyup. ;)

I’m not going to defend Morris. I have questions about him. I thought it odd when he was spouting on TV to Hannity — tell the family of the ex-Navy Seal that I collected money for them. How is it known if Morris gave all that money he collected to the families?

That happens soo much nowadays, people set up on their own to collect for this that or the other. Especially for murdered children. Heck there was a fake fund to collect for West vote count. Thank goodness his campaign warned of it pretty early.

I don't think you can really blame Morris and Rove for being off about the election. They are old schoolers when it comes to elections. They believed that Barry Benghazi would have gotten is ass kicked if this was still a one man, one vote country. We're a banana republic now. We have banana republic style "elections". 2012 was no different than voting for the MLB All Star teams. Vote as often as you like for your favorite team. 2012 was not an American election. It was a joke and a farce.

Dick Morris is an idiot. His predictions are awful. In fact, if Morris predicts something, good money says bet the other way. He may have had useful insight a long, long time ago, but these days his babbling is just a bunch of telling conservatives what they want to hear.

Fox News needs to fire this guy. He is an embarrassment to the network.
