Despite their weak candidate, Republicans increased their share of the presidential vote among many major demographic groups. Compared with 2008, they made significant gains among men (four percentage points), whites (four points), younger voters (six points), white Catholics (seven points) and Jews (nine points). Mr. Romney also carried the independent vote 50% to 45%. Four years ago, independents voted for Mr. Obama 52% to 44%. Republicans can take some solace from these gains. In addition, only 43% of voters this year said they wanted an activist government (compared with 52% in 2008), and 49% continued to disapprove of Mr. Obama's health-care law (compared with 44% approving). In short, the current American electorate is hardly stacked against the Republican Party. But Republicans should recognize that, on balance, Americans remain moderateholding a mix of liberal and conservative views. They generally believe that small government is better and that ObamaCare is bad. But the exit poll shows that 59% believe abortion should be legal, 65% support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, and a surprising plurality support legalizing same-sex marriage in their states.

We are giving everything away.
All of it.
Stop outsourcing jobs, and bring back US innovation.
But GOP is in panic mode, as if it was even worse than 2008.
If GOP elites back down now, they will lose more.
A bunch of Spineless jellyfishes!
Sorry but those single-digit increases are NOT impressive, especially given the state of the economy and the security situation in the world. If a comparison is to be made, it should be Romney gains to Reagan margins v. Carter because that is what we had, an election for Carter’s second term. Except this time, Carter won.
Pubbies already lost.
By compromising on jobs, Pubbies surrendered everything.
Hire Americans.
Bring back US jobs. Bring back the GOP. Bring back honesty, and hard work.
Now.
Does anyone here besides me who reads Steve Sailer realize that the exit polls Big Media paid for does not include Texas and many other conservative states.
These exit polls reflect the people asked questions.
It is not reflective of the country.
The Reuters/Ipsos exit polls were comprehemsive.
The ones that WSJ used as part of FOX...are not including the following states...anyone can see where that leads:
Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming
“But the exit poll shows that . . . 65% support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants”
This runs counter to virtually every other poll I have seen on this issue.
But the WSJ, like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other open borders groups, always shills for amnesty and the increased flooding of America with cheap foreign labor. To them, unemployed Americans be damned.
“Does anyone here besides me who reads Steve Sailer realize that the exit polls Big Media paid for does not include Texas and many other conservative states.”
I have been trying to find a complete list of the Catholic vote by state, first for the 2008 election, now 2012. The biggest split I could find was 70% for Obama in NM vs 70% for McLame in La. 70% in either direction by state sorta makes the national number useless, in my opinion. I have only ever found exit polling for two individual ‘red’ states, La and Arizona. I don’t even know if the national number is made up of all the states. I do know I can’t find a complete list anywhere, which might be due to my lack of google skills, but man it seems like a reasonable thing to try to find.

Actually I think you are on to something.
I order for the GOP to become a majority party again I think they are going to have to abandon their full lassez-faire platform and adopt some sort of Economic Nationalism (i.e. the Ross Perot platform on global trade)
That would quickly bring the Rust Belt back into play.
Will they do it? I have my doubts.
Then let’s start a party which will.
What we are doing now is dooming our own country.
I’m series.
We need to stop fighting each other, and start standing up for ourselves.
Take care.
These numbers aren’t very enlightening. For example, abortion. 59% support abortion. But that’s not how the quesiton was asked. People were asked: “Should abortion be (1) legal in all cases, (2) legal in most cases, (3) illegal in most cases, (4) illegal in all cases.” If you answered 1 or 2, that is tabulated as “pro-choice.” But what do people who pick “legal in most cases” consider “most cases”?
Col West has opened the door.
We must fight election fraud.
It falls on We the People.
Theres overwhelming evidence of fraud.- Here

Excerpt from Mitt Romney's reference:
These elections are NOT certified yet. The only way to get this investigated, much less recounted or overturned, is through the Secretary of State of each of the five key states: Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER STATE you can help. But it wont do any good to dilute our effort to challenge California or Michigan or other states. Until a major group gets involved to do more, here is the plan: Contact the Secretary of State of the state in question. See contact information below...

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

They announced a couple of months ago that they were cutting back on the states where they exit polled, and quite a bit of the states that were cut were red states.
