It's gravitated to a Christian denomination that claims to be the only true church vs a belief system that in Christian circles is considered to be a cult.
What is kind of ironic is that Catholics (whose belief system states that everyone must come "back" to the “mother church” to be saved) are supporting Mormonism which believes that THEY are the only way to God.
Seems like a conflict to me!
Yes, I’ve noted that the Catholics appear to support Mormonism. Perhaps it is because they are secure in their beliefs and not threatened by it. Who’s against Mormonism then? The Holy Rollers? Members of numerous small congregations competing with other small (or relatively small) congregations, the way that (using a safe example) the Scientologists compete with the Moonies and they with the Hare Krishnas? Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, comrades!
