It is unclear why Petraeus and Allen, two of the U.S. military's biggest names, felt the need to formally interject in a nasty custody dispute of someone they characterized as a family friend.

Don't know about the wife of Gen. Allen, but Petraeus' wife Holly is a far-left Elizabeth Warren supporter.

My guess is she strong-armed her husband into helping the Lebonese woman in a battle against the George Bush appointed banking operative in Iraq whose name is Wolfe. Natalie was also being helped in her fight against Wolfe by John Kerry who as we know, along with Warren is another far left Bostonian.
