2 New York Israeli Muslims who claimed $5 million lottery ticket after 5 years arrested

2 Israeli Muslims from Jerusalem, now living in New York, claimed they won a $5 million lottery payout, with a ticket they bought in their father’s store.

They waited until shortly before the winning ticket of $5 million in a scratch-off lottery game would have been declared void.

Then, when two brothers from the Syracuse, New York, area came to claim the prize, they made an unusual request: They told state lottery officials that they would be happy to take home less than the full amount if they could avoid a press conference.

Officials immediately became suspicious, saying a security check had to be completed before the big payday. But the "security check" proved to be another name for an investigation that eventually led to the arrest of the brothers on Tuesday for theft and other charges. Authorities said the two brothers had deceived the real winner, a customer at the convenience store of their parents.

I said “most”. If you want to get picky about it, About 82.6 percent of the Arab population in Israel is Sunni Muslim with a very small minority of Shia as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Israel

Hold on...I worked with a guy who emigrated from Iran back in the early 80s...he was Jewish. Said he left to avoid the ayatollah.
