Gun buyback program coming to Savannah(GA)

SAVANNAH, Ga. --

It's been more than a week since the Coastal Empire Fair shooting and a local organization is taking action to help put a stop to gun violence in the city.

The Georgia Coastal Southern Christian Leadership Conference is working on a Savannah gun buyback program targeting youths in the community.

The group is working on finding locations where gun owners can drop off their weapons, no questions asked, and receive a $50 voucher in return.

They are planning for the turn in to be on 1 January. This is another opportunity for freedom activists to obtain some decent guns for little money.

Private sales are legal in Georgia, but freedom activists in other states have been harrassed by police. A recorder is a good idea. If more than one activist is present, you can each record the other if harrassment is threatened.

The did that here in York, PA, at least twice, with no noticable decrease in gun violence.

Some sick SOB was passing out fliers showing how to make a working gun out of materials available at any hardware store. he said we should make six of them, sell them in the buyback program, take the money, and buy a decent weapon.

I never did understand the “buy-back” nomenclature for these freedom stomping events. How can you buy something back if you never had it in the first place? Rhetorical statement, I know. Maybe some sick SOB could offer a little better sneaker than the “authorities” or maybe “rechargeable” EBT cards. Do they have somebody on site with a cutting torch?

Big gun show in Reno this weekend. Turn out will be interesting to say the least.

Well, I live in Savannah. ALl the crime is black on black, usually drug related. So maybe the deal should just apply to black people. Oh, wait. That’s racist. Sorry.

There are somewhere around 40,000-60,000 NRA firearms instructors in the country. The majority of them teach very few classes each year.

With a bit of planning, and a pile of Oleg Volk posters and flyers, an effort could be organized to offer free training to law-abiding eager to be disarmed masses. After all, the election proved that “We jes be lovin’ our free sh*t”.

At the same time it’s a good time to go there and unload your totally beat-up, broken, non-working guns for money. Save any guns that you might consider restoring/fixing, turn in the beyond-hope guns you won’t fix for vouchers, and use the voucher money to repair the ones you want to fix.
