Dave,

I sent you this message via the Ben Ghazi Gates YouTube page, but I’m not sure if it worked.

Can you check the street footage before the attack ... at the scene where the “Blue Mtn” blue vest guy is talking to some other guys before the attack?

The guy with a sleeveless tee shirt looks like the guy in the often-used “burning consulate” photos. The guy in the street has rolled up pant cuffs and a banana clip (just like the guy in the photos).

I can’t do frame by frame, so I can’t isolate his face ... but it’s most obvious when he first approaches the security guy. I think it’s the same guy.

I like your work ... good job.

Bob I agree that the physique is a fairly good match. There were actually only about 20 terrorists in the first wave from the video I have reviewed. If there were more I want to see the video! I have actually counted 18.

I have posted the best terrorist stills from the clip you mentioned to my Flickr account so you can download and study them:

Terrorist stills

It will take some work to do a really good comparison but you may get there and it would add to the story.

If you would like to study any of the videos you have seen on a frame by frame basis you can download the software I use for free here: VLC Media Player

This little gem will let you play back video at various speeds and it has a “take snapshot” feature which is what I sometimes use. It is free. The more people who take a detailed look at the evidence the better. You may find something entirely new that I have not focused on or that I missed. The trick is looking at every frame—and then doing it again and again—then going back to regular speed to make sure you are right in your conclusions. I hope that makes sense.
