Some Republicans will say Palin has too much baggage from 2008, and we need to look for a new Sarah Palin. But I don't see what's wrong with the one we've got. Ever since the 1990s, Republicans have been looking for the next Ronald Reagan. Reagan is now revered in bipartisan circles, but during his presidency he was, like Palin, ridiculed by liberals. They cited "Bedtime for Bonzo" and sneered at his no-name college degree.

Sarah Palin is the new Ronald Reagan: charming and affable and unwilling to back down if she's right. I can't see what's wrong with that.

Palin’s take on what has been happening is more correct than most, if not all, of the status quo Republicans. The Journolist did their job if we cannot get her to the forefront and have her destroy the Marxist/Democrat/Islamofacists.

Shes the reason GOP turnout 2008 > 2012.

The ongoing ignorance by too many within the entire GOP of all voter fraud is very bizarre.

I really think that the GOP lost this election when they stabbed her in the back during and after her VP campaign. If they had stood by her, she would’ve been re-elected Governor of Alaska, and from there, with Party support, could’ve mounted a credible Presidential campaign. No way in hell she would’ve gotten fewer votes than McCain, and she probably would’ve gotten quite a few more, particularly in those critical swing state places like southern Pennsylvania and Ohio.

She might actually beat Biden.

But Biden won't be the nominee.

Sadly, by then she'll have been out of politics too long. Working as a commentator just isn't the same thing.

She needs a position of substance somewhere.

Thanks for posting. I’ve thought that an Obama re-election makes a Palin presidency more not less likely. After four years of Obama it will not be republican moderation people are begging for. Palin if she decides to pursue a serious run has the qualities that gives liberals problems. She has a working class appeal while being a solid conservative.

Her baggage is our baggage. McCain, and the GOP establishment.

Sarah needs to become good at something besides
cheerleading if she should desire to be taken
seriously next presidential election. She should
join a think tank and do some research on economic
issues and/or foreign relations.

I would love to throw all my support behind her but
the media will destroy her if nothing develops within
her. I know it makes many folks angry but it is true.
I believe that it was the MSM and Romney’s failure
to handle the MSM that did him in. Had the media been
neutral Romney would have won by 10-15 percent. Well,
the media was, is, and will be much harder on Palin
than they ever were on Romney. And, don’t think for
a moment that the MSM will be that much closer to
death in 2016 than it is now.

Palin is no Ronald Reagan by a long shot. RR did his
homework, governed one of the strongest economic en-
tities in the world for two terms, and ran against
one the weakest incumbent presidents in US history in
1980.

I’m all for Sarah but I’m not sure the Republican party is any longer viable. She may be better off running on the Tea Party ticket.

In November 2016 Sarah Palin will continue to have more quality executive experience that either Barack Obama or Joe Biden.
