Wait, every state has the right to petition the federal government, every citizen has the right to petition the federal government..if they no long wish to be part of the United States, let them step away and be an independent country.
After all we are just fifty countries/states bound together for common defense. (Well, in the old days anyway)
I am trying to figure out why so called conservatives are more upset about this issue than liberals are.

I’m not upset about the secession issue. I’m saying to hell with those blue patches; make THEM ‘run’ away. We, the majority of the US, are fed up with them. Time to excise THEM.
