I have this totally racist habit of googling the perps of crimes that have made it to the national news level. I like to confirm my suspicion of the perpetrators race by the particular nature of the crime.
Since this wasn’t a stupid random act of rage and anger and entitlement, I predict this perp is Caucasian, perhaps middle eastern in origin.
Note though, I do not assign race itself as a contributing factor. I attribute it to how that race was molded and formed by overbearing social programs that leave people feeling worthless and hopeless and how Race Mongers and Baiters keep them feeling victimized.
