If Iron Dome detonates missiles in mid-flight, will the chemicals be too dispersed to be a danger on the ground?

Depends on a lot of variables...primarily the type of agent (persistent v. non-persistent), altitude and weather conditions.

Both persistent and non-persistent have their different tactical applications for a military in the field.

For a terrorist organization, either would do, and they're probably limited to whatever they could get their hands on (I'm guessing it's Sadaam's old stock that ended up in the Beqaa Valley.
