Anonymous claims to have blocked GOP election theft with Ohio firewall (o rly?)

Hacktivist group Anonymous has done some good things and some bad things. It all depends on your point of view. Now the group has come forward and said they are the reason that Karl Rove nearly went apoplectic on Fox News on Nov. 6, Election Night 2012.

Thom Hartmann reported the claim on his radio show on Friday, which is simulcast on Current TV (video of the Current TV broadcast is embedded). Of course, Anonymous has claimed things in the past which later turned out to be false, but as Hartmann said: "it makes sense."

Republican strategist Karl Rove seemed incredibly surprised when the results came back from Ohio. It wasn't just the surprise that Mitt Romney exuded—he reportedly had no concession speech written—it was genuine. …

This is all just so disgusting. We are so screwed. Pray that God feels some mercy on all of us, cause’ that’s about the only answer to this mess.

This is just BS. But it does prove one thing once again. The voting system should not be connected to the internet in any way shape or form. It should not even be connected to a phone line. Also computers should not be used in any way shape or form in the process of voting or the initial hard copies of voting results. If any electronics are used to design a voting machine then they should be hard wired discrete logic machines with no software.

Yes but imagine a candidate who you could enthusiastically support, thick and thin?

Someone whose judgement you trust, and who you would support, and enthusiastically go to bat for over and over.

I’m series.

Imagine that. Then try to remember having a candidate like that...

Go ahead. Try. Not even Ronald Reagan was as strong.

This so called “election” is invalid. The Kenyan boy and his commie toadies rigged this farce. The ballot box don’t work in America anymore.

"I don’t really have any idea whether these idiots could have anything to do with Romney’s loss but it seems to me that it creates a real problem for Obama if it gets any media."

Most people know next to nothing about how words or images get to their portable or desktop devices. Our voting systems were once based upon trust and paper, trust because ballots were counted by people from each precinct and representing each party, before the ballots left the room in which they were cast. Anyone in the counting room could ask to see a ballot. After the count each ballot was place in a secure box, again, in plain site of everyone present. The counters signed their names. Those were the official counts. The stored boxes were only opened by court order.

Today, any electronic vote is untraceable. Where the Internet is used, computers used to presumably report the count are accessible to hackers, or to those who determine what the count should be. Explaining who was at fault, or what was missing in a campaign is fruitless. We don't have anything close to a reliable vote count. Who knows why senior Republican decision makers have not raised the issue. One assumes Republicans have used the control of the reported vote themselves, and are loathe to be called sore losers, or racists, just because the SEIU, which counts votes in most states, might be suspect in manipulating counts.

In California the SEIU counts most absentee ballots (I don't know of any they don't count, but am not that close to the process). November 6 was not an election, it was a demonstration of who is now in control of our electoral processes. Remember that we allowed the unionization of government workers. George Soros wisely supported, with his Secretary of State Project, candidates in each state who would serve the left.

We ignore the obvious, like AG Holder failing to prosecute New Black Panthers because they are “my people.” There may be no way to effect a change than to await the inevitable financial collapse, and have organized a large enough group of believers in our Constitution to take over local process, sovereign state by sovereign state. There is little doubt that there are more of us than of them, even of our elections don't reflect it.

"Get over it. No more Romney."

There are plenty more Romeney clones on the GOP-E bench.
Let's see:
John Huntsman, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, etc.
I bet they'd even try to run McCain again! That's how stupid I think the GOP-E is and that's how much they hate the conservative, TEA Party type Republican voter.

I’m over it. I worked hard for Romney this time. Actually think he would have been an excellent President. I don’t have a problem with him. However, the party failed miserably.

No I think anonymous is claiming they blocked the GOP or Romney from stealing the election. I believe there was election fraud from The Democrats not the Gop and you know what else I think the admin had someone kill Breitbart
I don't care what is thought of me for saying that but this administration is EVIL and will do anything to get what they want and will get rid of anyone in there way.

I worked for Romney too, although I did have some problems with him.

I don’t for a minute think the vote count is remotely close to valid votes actually cast.

Added a firewall... Lol!

I’m reminded of all these tv shows where they magically “enhance” low res images to get high res images. The technically illiterate believe it.

Adding a firewall without disrupting all kinds of normal network traffic is a frickin’ fantasy. They might add - or more likely REMOVE - a firewall RULE to eliminate access, but our budding tech writer on this article is an idiot. If an illegitimate firewall rule existed on the system, they’d HAVE proof someone was tampering.

“Enhance!”

Folks, I know it may be too late, but why aren’t we, the GOP, pushing for the same action on a national scale (Mainly the areas where the results did not seem right). If the results for Allen West are not correct, maybe the main presidential election numbers may not be correct either.
The GOP has many great qualities. 99% of the time, if a GOP candidate looses he simply gets on stage and gives a very gracious concession speech. The Dems know this. And they use it to their advantage. America was furious with Obama’s antics. Do you think this most election came along, and all of the sudden the same complainers said “You know what, I will just stay home and not vote.”

Maybe I don’t get it. Maybe I should have stayed home. I don’t think so. Apparently when Allen West was given the results he said, “No, wrong answer. Count again....” Should the GOP not do the same thing?

“this administration is EVIL and will do anything to get what they want and will get rid of anyone in their way.”

All leftist thought, from the limousine liberalism of a George Clooney to the murderous horrors of Mao, Stalin, and Pol Pot, is of and from Satan. Leftism is a contaminant in the human cognosphere, not a natural component of it.

Satan is smarter than we are, and he never sleeps. Those over whom he has the most influence are like maniacally evil energizer demons.

The Oboohoo regime positively reeks of the father of lies.

I worked hard for Romney/Ryan too.

God willing I will be able to work hard for a more conservative candidate next time, but I will resist these lying socialist thieves and beggars by supporting whichever candidate is going against them.

That’s just how I roll.

If Anonymous can STOP others from committing voter fraud, they surely can COMMIT voter fraud for 0bama.

Which is why their claim is all the more troubling. I don't believe them but it certain demands Holder's DOJ investigate the claims of Anonymous and what, if anything they did with election data and how they were able to gain such access.

We should not hold our breath.

What Anonymous might have done was that the firewalls they created may have kept the Dem vote fraud from getting worse hence the more reaqlistic vote numbers for Obama.
