At a social gathering Friday evening, a friend who is a far left, retired teacher, a Hopey/Changey type, went off on LACK of term limits on Congress/Senate (she hates Toomey). He (the dreaded Toomey) could be in DC for years!!! (The horror!!!) but a “brilliant” statesman (quote) like Obama, can only be in “leadership” for “8short years.” And a couple others agreed. We are a lost people. There was NO arguing/discussion. We are “blessed” to have him.
I have given up pol TV and reading alot of blogs; if I give up local socialization I will become a hermit. (shakes head).

Oh the usual...plus they are gloating. Just like PAMom mentioned. I can’t stand it. Haven’t had Fox news or any other national news on at home. The only time I listen is when I absolutely have to at work.
Ignoring...for the time being ...politics seems to be good for me. Feel a lot brighter and kinda optomistic.
But I am tired of ice on the car already!
We’ve been avoiding news, for the most part, as well. We put up our Christmas tree yesterday and Mr S put lights in the yard.
In other news: On Friday morning, my husband’s youngest brothers - 51 yo - had a heart attack and had to be life-flighted to UPMC Monroeville. He made it just in time. They had him in surgery before his wife got there. He’ll be ok. Just got out of ICU yesterday. One artery was 99% blocked. They put a stent in that artery. He has to go back in 4-6 weeks to have a second stent put in a second artery that is almost as bad.
Doc says it’s genetic. My father-in-law had a quadruple by-pass 15 years ago. Oldest brothers better watch out too! Mr sneakers heart problems were unrelated. He takes after his mom’s side.

Yup...always something! The pressure is torture on joints. 30.40 isn’t all that high but it’s killing me. Every joint hurts. Same with most of the other guys at work. Thing is it will stop hurting, then the pressure will drop and that will set off another round.

Prayers up for Mr. Sneakers’ brother. Thank God he got to the hospital in time.
Prayers for Mr. S’s brother. Sounds like what happened to my husband—emergency catherization w/no time to spare. He had 100% block of the LAD and about 90 % in another vessel (not another artery) emergency cath and stents saved his life too. Four to six weeks sounds “short” (PaDad was off 10 weeks including the week a d a half in hospital. ) I hope did to ObamaCare they are not starting to short recovery times. PaDad also takes after his dad (who died of massive HA @ 54). His brother, takes after their mom (his stress tests-BP-cholesterol screens are perfect) BUT he worries of the Alzheimer’s (which runs in her family). It IS always something it seems:(
We are very lucky to have alot of great facilities in Pgh area. PaDad’s last hospitization (last spring) was at Forbes Regional...alot of the heart docs there also admit @UPMC. The “dueling hospitals” has reduced wait time for routine heart care, but doubled the cath facilities (life saving!). He had Dr. Aziz (who was excellent). Your brother in law will have great care to help him heal.

Greetings from the Outer Banks..very windy angry seas..met a fellow conservative..nice guy was waiting at the deli..talking to my wife..while they were getting meat cut..told him of this site but forgot to tell him my name..from North Carolina..started Saturday nite around 5:30 got here..6 AM ...Sunday..feel asleep at half time but remember a clavin int..in the 2nd half...sigh...found an old truck/car rusted in the bottom of a dune..got pics..want to get some video...all conservatives here...nice place..
Happy Turkey Day vacation to you (and the family!). OBX is just about my favorite place on earth:) (like Myrtle Beach too—but land locked in PA forever).
