Ya can’t put the genie back in the bottle.
Where I disagree with many social conservatives is that I believe that the election of men and women of character will be a result, rather than a cause, of the solving of that crisis.
I used to believe that. Not anymore.
Professor, would you like to explain why the book costs $150? I'll bet Star Parker could: she understands free-market economics and the distortions thereof caused by government-backed monopolies.
I prefer this one: “You can’t put the sh!t back in the horse.”
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” - Jesus, in John 14:15
replace ‘horse’ with ‘ass’, and you got a deal
Or why the last two editions/revisions are no longer any good? After all, Calculus hasn't changed that much, has it?
-———Its a problem of character and values———
Star somehow misses the point of it all.
The reason Liberals are successful is precisely because they have no character or values. They have progressed beyond the need for character and values. Character and values are passe in the Utopian society freed of those shackles.
Progressivism can and has rejected the evolutionary developed society of tens of thousands of years because in the new age all human action necessitating such rules has been codified into law. To live free is to throw off the chains of custom and religion. To be free is to merely within the law umbrella of the government.
The elixir of progressive freedom from chafing restraints is as addicting as heroin.

^ and the straightest path to hell, in a non-religious context, of course...
To ignore history and the consequences of repeating the same mistakes is pretty stupid to say the least (also unwise, devoid of common sense, irreverent, etc....in other words, liberal in nature)
They change the order of the practice problems, sometimes. I gave my son's ("previous edition") math book from last semester to my friend's daughter, on the understanding that she'd need to check the homework assignments to make sure they matched. Most of the homework is online these days, anyway.
On the other hand, in our homeschool science classes, any edition of the publisher's text will work: the teacher hands out the experiment assignments to everything, so it doesn't matter if it's different in their books.
GOD'S JUDGEMENT HAS BEGUN! - Remember these words as we struggle through the next four years of the muslim sympatiser-in-chief.
Or, like the GOPe believes, you could simply try to pander your way back into power.
It’s definitely a moral problem in the US. But as I prepare for some tests in nursing that i’m studying for, I see that medical professionals distribute birth control as if it were candy. It is just assumed now that ALL women will need birth control ....why? Because most women nowadays (which has to include men) are sexually active at young ages. This means they are in sexual relationships, sometimes multiple ones, and they are NOT marrying. Why marry? You can have all the fun without any of the responsibility now. Men are OFF THE HOOK and thus, are not pressured into achieving much earlier in life.
Women are only focused on getting ahead without men. There is no committment — there is no desire for a family, because that would get in the way of their partying lifestyle. Many of them also come from dysfunctional backgrounds, so they’ve never seen what a good marriage looks like. And is there ANY portrayal of this ANYWHERE in our society?
I know this — I see it everyday. I know a lot of young poeple like this. Marriage, family and committment is passe. It is not desired, but something to be avoided.
Marriage. Family. Committment. We somehow need to revive these things in America if it’s even possible anymore. Santorum was right. I think sometimes the women’s movement is at the very heart of all of this dysfunction in America. Women’s movement = no need for family, committment, or fathers. Everything “patriarchal” (as in any sort of organized religion) is frowned upon.
You have well noted the freedoms progressives have demanded and achieved.
“Or why the last two editions/revisions are no longer any good? After all, Calculus hasn’t changed that much, has it?”
Change a few practice problems in the book and issue a newer, more expensive edition every other year to the captive market. Quite the scam. $150 is lowballing it, though.
When I was in college, a $50.00 book was outrageously expensive...
Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
The curse, in addition to pain in childbirth, is the woman wants to be the boss of her family, God has designed her to be ruled over. Oh, I know the woman's libbys would be appalled at this statement but it is the truth of Gods Word.
