RALEIGH, N.C. -- Linda Coleman, the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, called Republican Dan Forest Monday morning to concede the race.
Coleman trailed by 11,000 votes after election night, but her campaign claimed that perhaps thousands of ballots hadn't been counted that should have been.
As mail-in ballots and provisional ballots have trickled in since Election Day, Republican candidate Dan Forest's lead has dwindled.
