WASHINGTON, D.C., November 19, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) - The new head of a Catholic philanthropic organization is a longtime Obama advisor and member of the Religious Left.
Alexia Kelley has been named CEO and president of the Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities (FADICA).
According to its website, FADICA reinforces a foundations Catholic values, family mission, and faith-based stewardship.
Kelley takes her new position after serving as director of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The committee is headed by Joshua Dubois. Like Kelley, Dubois favors an abortion reduction strategy focused heavily on promoting a social welfare state and other liberal economic policies.
Kelley previously worked for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), the organization that pro-life groups have documented sending Catholic collection money to pro-abortion, pro-homosexual advocacy groups.
The group she co-founded and led as the executive director, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (CACG), released a study in 2008 that claimed additional welfare spending, particularly boosting the WIC program, reduced abortion rates. However, scholars disputed that claim, pointing out that the group cited incorrect abortion data to arrive at their result. Pro-life social scientist Michael New recently pointed out that no peer-reviewed study has supported the conclusion that welfare spending decreases abortion; many, he said, including a 2009 assessment by the Guttmacher Institute, found lower welfare spending reduces abortion.
Bill Donohue of the Catholic League called CACGs voter guide a slick attempt to get the abortion albatross off the necks of Catholic Democrats.
Kelley publicly supported 2004 Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry and current HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
Pro-life Catholics have long argued that the goal of CACG is to assuage Catholic voters guilt over voting for pro-abortion Democrats, while presenting left-wing economic policies as part of the Churchs Social Justice teaching.
Deal Hudson wrote that such groups should use their leverage to remove the abortion-funding loopholes from the health-care bills, rather than looking for ways to justify them.
CACG ran into additional trouble in 2009, when one of its leaders, Robert Eric McFadden, was arrested by police for operating an online prostitution ring in Columbus, Ohio.
Something needs to be done about heretical or schismatic groups that call themselves Catholic, and Catholic heretics and Catholic schismatics. STOP the MONEY.STOP them from using the name "CATHOLIC".
Far too much fraud is perpetrated against unsuspecting Catholics. Unfortunatly too many Catholics (or rather those who call themselves Catholic) have voted for satan's candidate this last election, so it shouldn't be such a surprise to see satan's disciple running the Church's charity.
A very poor choice.
I’m confused. So the organized Catholic structure just let this kind of crap go on and on without excommunication?
This is the kind of crap that will push me further away. They are not fighting hard enough. Cardinal Dolan's playing nice with obama at the dinner is proof of that. Disinviting obama was his chance to send a powerful message. What good is it for us to fight the good fight if those in power cave.
The ‘American Catholic Church’ and their largely imbecilic collection of bishops, have either lost their minds, or have definitely lost their way and their idea of what their mission in North America should be.
The majority of the American bishops are weasels who like to dress up like cock robin and play ‘let’s pretend we’re devout Catholics. There are very few of this higher strata of clergy that give a damn about the propagation of the faith or the rubics and tenets of the Catholic Church. This descent into evil began right after Vatican II where the addled brains assembled in Rome decided to create a new religion.
Homosexual bishops and a pope are next. We’ve already been exposed to the homosexual parish priest.
“CACG ran into additional trouble in 2009, when one of its leaders, Robert Eric McFadden, was arrested by police for operating an online prostitution ring in Columbus, Ohio.”
Actually it was teen prostitution.
Never, ever, never give to the second collection. Never, ever, never give to any professional charity.
Charity begins at home and after making sure your family is taken care of there are plenty of people in your community that need a little help.
Except for their admirable stands against abortion and same-sex marriage the Catholic hierarchy is pretty far left.
Christians need to go a lot further than abortion and same-sex marriage when assessing political candidates. The Obama/Democrat agenda is institutionalized envy, jealousy, covetousness, bitterness and theft. Christians look at the lefts agenda of envy/jealousy/covetousness/bitterness and fall for the lie that it is all love and light. They weigh abortion against the “great charitable heart” of Democrats and come out for Democrats. Charity is giving what is yours to others. What belongs to you. Taking it first from others has nothing to do with charity or love and much to do with buying power. The Democrats compound sin with sin, evil with evil. There is no trade off. Do Christians even bother to ask how is it even possible for politicians who are such ardent advocates of abortion and sodomy to be paragons of virtue on other issues?
Todays Christians would rewrite Jesus parable of the golden talents and take away the talents from the man who had five and redistribute them to those with fewer or none. Which makes them antichrist. Politicians in their much less than infinite wisdom have taken it upon themselves to decide who has more money than they think they should have and then take it to give to those to whom it doesnt belong. Putting themselves in the position of playing the Almighty. To the materialist it is all about money. Some peoples lives dont work and the materialist think that its all a matter of money. If they only had enough it would all be ok
The Catholic bishops are the biggest supporters of the destructive, larcenous welfare state from hell. And thus leftist politicians. Come election time they plead with their flock not to vote for abortion. Too little, too late, bishops. Youve already sold folks on the party of death. Youve told them that it is good and right to indulge in envy, jealousy and coveting other peoples wealth.
Envy is a sin. Jealousy is a sin. Demanding even more of other peoples money is greed. Looking to the government to meet your needs and solve your problems rather than trusting in God is idolatry, the worst of all. It makes perfect sense that the antiChrist crowd who fervently support abortion and sodomy would also enthusiastically support an agenda of envy, jealousy, covetousness and theft. What is an abomination and inexcusable is that all too many Christians do too.
Excellent advice.
Thanks to anyone who can provide info.
Unfortunately, both the Catholic and Protestant Churches have their “Laodician” branches. Just as the book of Revelation said it would be.

Many Christians are falling away into the camp of Anti-Christ as Scripture has foretold. We need to start approaching our brethren who have these tendencies and confront them with Hebrews 6:4-8 and Hebrews 10:26-31 which is the territory that they are wandering into.
Heretical bint!
Worse they are slipping into apostasy.
Please ping me if you hear anything about CRS. We are regular donors. Thanks.
“Never, ever, never give to the second collection. “
I never give to the first collection. Thats the one the Bishop gets a big percentage of to give to pet projects. I give to the second collections only. At least you know where that money goes.
I've just been doing a bit of googling of "Catholic Relief Services" and "abortion" and have found some pretty disturbing stuff.I'll have to read further to get a better grip on what I'm reading and its credibility.
