Unless we rein in the demands and negotiation rights of the public sector unions, this country will be a one party country.
Very good point, but we have to offer a sound alternative or forget it! Kinda like the Dems pushing alternative energy to replace fossil fuels when it cannot even begin to replace it at this time if ever. Thinking right now about a project - go down each state, review the Congress and the Governor, review the last few election cycles of laws written and their effects. And then EDUCATE the American public on what worked in which states and what didn't. This USED to be how we operated. The states were allowed to experiment and then the working solutions could be copied.

There is no alternative to public sector unions except to put public sector union on the same type of retirement and benefits programs as the private sector, which means 401 Ks and health insurance which the worker helps pay for. No more free rides for the public sector.
