Provisional AND absentee?
I wonder what the breakdown is...absentees automatically count, right? Provisionals are not automatic....unless you mean provisionals that will be counted, after others are rejected.

Here’s an update:
“Matheson started the day holding a 2,646-vote lead after Election Day.
Utah County released unofficial updated numbers that showed Love shaving 1,193 votes from that lead. Scott Hogensen, the chief deputy clerk, said the final numbers could change some before they are presented to the county commission this afternoon, but they are not expected to vary by much.
Juab County has finalized its results, with Love picking up 27 new votes to 24 for Matheson, cutting just three votes from the lead, which currently stands at 1,450.

Salt Lake County had nearly 44,000 absentee and provisional ballots countywide. About 54 percent of the Election Day votes in the county were in the 4th District, meaning about 23,000 of the outstanding ballots would be expected to fall into that congressional district.”

If there were 23,000 provisionals and absentees in the Salt Lake County portion of the district remaining to be counted, then Mia Love would need a bit over 53% of them to take the lead. That sounds doable. We’ll find out soon whether she was able to make it.
Who is counting the votes?
And who is monitoring them?
In 2001 FR members (called an “angry mob” [I have the t-shirt])entered the counting rooms in FL and caught them punching chads for Gore and putting Bush votes in Gore's pile.
This counting has to be watched real closely.
See what happened in FL with West's attempt for a congressional seat, the vote was counted against him even though irregularities were found.
Provisional votes are from people who showed up at the wrong polling place, who messed up their ballot, etc. - which is why they almost invariably favor the Democrat candidate.
If someone can't get their act together and register properly and on time, well ahead of the election, it's just too damned bad for them.
How comes it seems like in all these razor-thin races that we NEVER win?

If the lunkheads who cast votes for the Libertarian had voted for Mia Love, she would have won the election on November 6th. What is it about the Libertarians that they can’t even support a bonafide conservative candidate?
