The White House announced the federal government will spend $6 billion over four years for a sustainable energy future plan with Asian countries that involves loaning tax dollars to other countries to increase their purchasing power for U.S. technology, services and equipment.
Recognizing that energy and the environment are among the most pressing issues confronting our region, President Obama, in partnership with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei and President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, today proposed the U.S.-Asia Pacific Comprehensive Partnership for a Sustainable Energy Future, the White House announced Tuesday as Obama visits Asian Pacific countries.
The initiative comes after the Obama administration has been criticized for spending billions to subsidize U.S.-based green energy companies that went on to declare bankruptcy, including Solyndra, Ener1, A123, Beacon Power and other failed renewable energy ventures.
The White House announcement goes on to say that, The United States will provide up to $6 billion to support the partnership. Most of that will come from the U.S. Export-Import Bank, which will launch a $5 billion export credit financing program to certain Asian countries over the next four years to increase access to American technology, services and equipment to implement energy infrastructure.

Go all the way to the supreme court to stop it.

Roberts would decline the case. We cannot look to the USSC for protection. It has become part of the problem.
BY WHOSE AUTHORITY????????? CONGRESS SHOULD MAKE HIM PUT THAT TOWARD THE DEFICIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what happens when no one in Congress holds him accountable for his criminal actions. He just keeps doing it. It’s the new America.
Your Congressman will not listen to you.
He listens to the experts - the think tanks and consultants and lobbyists.”””
The mid-year 2014 elections will be very interesting.
Many Congress members will be in a mighty fight, IMO.
I remember being in high school in NJ in 1980, walking in a crowded all at the end of the day, hearing a teacher say “Remember, vote for Reagan”. How times have changed.
The people are the key, IMHO. Need to change what everyone wants, how they think, what they’re all about.
Back in 1980 nObama could not have been elected; people would have not voted for a man with no documented past.
But we’ve slid as a nation.
This “think tank” idea is aimed at changing hearts and minds:

If the population gets some sense and morals back, the Democrat “party of immorality” would have a tough time selling their wares.
IMHO, long-term thinking is the only way to combat the long-term efforts socialism as used to seep into America.
I wondered why it was so important for him to go to Asia after he won another election. Anything he does is not for good reasons.
Brought to us by those interests behind “American-based” manufacturing in Asia. Have fun. Enjoy politics controlled by government-linked business and the consequent slide.
Our country isn’t broke. `Broke’ means you don’t have any money.
We’re in a huge *hole* and this SOB is digging as fast as he can.
roberts vote on one bill has not changed his votes on hudreds of others. he did not become a liberal with one vote.
Exactly - and in order to have one world government, economies need to be equalized. That means turning us into a third world country.
Who knew we had $6 billion just laying around?

Mathematically, you are correct. But the Constitutional cortorsions he went through to justify Obamacare were extraordinary and very disturbing. I would argue that this one landmark vote was so damaging to our freedom that it has set precedent which will render meaningless many FUTURE attemtps to restore our liberties. One big failure can destroy many working parts, if not the whole system.
BTW Congress should find a law or rule to eliminate with every law they pass.
You need to review the history of this bill. Republicans did not write this law. They had no input whatsoever. It was thrown together and passed by legislative force by autocratic Democrats. Make no mistake, we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg that is going to sink the Titanic.
You certainly have a deeper knowldge of this issue than I, my point is the republicans can’t seem to tell a story about things like the US sending money to Brazil for their oil drilling but we close 1.6 millon acres in America and thus reduce jobs. We spend money in Asia for wind projects, while our roads or bridges could get needed up grades and create jobs, better transportation.
