Democrats push to redeploy Obama’s voter database
The Washington Post ^ | November 20,2012 | Craig Timberg and Amy

If you voted this election season, President Obama almost certainly has a file on you. His vast campaign database includes information on voters’ magazine subscriptions, car registrations, housing values and hunting licenses, along with scores estimating how likely they were to cast ballots for his reelection.

And though the election is over, Obama’s database is just getting started.

[snip] The database consists of voting records and political donation histories bolstered by vast amounts of personal but publicly available consumer data, say campaign officials and others familiar with the operation, which was capable of recording hundreds of fields for each voter.

Campaign workers added far more detail through a broad range of voter contacts — in person, on the phone, over e-mail or through visits to the campaign’s Web site. Those who used its Facebook app, for example, had their files updated with lists of their Facebook friends along with scores measuring the intensity of those relationships and whether they lived in swing states. If their last names seemed Hispanic, a key target group for the campaign, the database recorded that, too.

It’s interesting on how we on FR often deride liberals as stupid. But if you read the full story on Baraq’s campaign in yesterday’s WSJ, they were in another league as far as information technology and GOTV.

And if they also did it by cheating, it’s pathetic “our” Republican governors and SoS in the swing states didn’t do anything to stop it.

One problem they will run into is that many Obama voters only work one day a year — election day.

They so out organized the Republicans that it was amazing that more precincts didn't turn in voter counts of over 100 percent. There are easily as many as 1000 Marxist/Communist/Lenninist/Progressive associated organizations working full time to redefine the American dream into a Communist nightmare. And that is just in Chicago. Nationwide its beyond counting. Lock and load laddies. Lock and load.

And I recall that Rove, despite his many flaws, built a very good GOTV machine for the 2004 election. And the GOP has backslid since. The tales coming out about ORCA should be in college textbooks so students can study how NOT to create and roll out a system. I think just about everything that could go wrong did go wrong. When you only have one day to have it right.

That’s right, they tapped into the young generations mind set and capabilities and in a sense Googleized the voting mechanism beyond the GOPs wildest dreams. Meanwhile, the old analog farts Rove, Orielly, Boehner, etc..... are using freaking white borads and stats from a data pool that the Dems were not even interested in! It was “The Sting 3” all over again. They didn’t see it coming. They were doing this even before 2008 election.

That’s the thing about libs though isn’t it? We’ll be seeing a lot more of this because of their fanatical support of the Marxist. The idea of big government flies right over their heads. To them they think it starts and stops with welfare and food stamps and they completely ignore or are naive about what else comes with the monster: Namely loss of freedom. 9 gabillion regulations, laws, bureaus, whose sole purpose is to make the individuals life hell on earth.

And what gets me is who does most of the protesting? That’s right, liberals. But they don’t protest this do they? No, they go in the opposite direction: They promote and vote for it. They’re freakin’ morons. Some guy on Wall street investing and creating jobs is a SOB, but the government smashing the constitution one inch from totalitarianism is perfectly OK. And when that totalitarian monster bites them in the ass, who do they blame? Republicans.

The day before the election I had a 6 page list of the “super voters” in my precinct to call for our GOTV. 90% of the numbers were bad and only about 10% had an email. Of course I just got an invitation to the local GOP Christmas party and it said that they will be collecting food for a local food bank at the party. REALLY!!!! Do they realize that we will be collecting food for the people who voted Obama back in!! It is like they are tone deaf and don’t care if they do the same thing over and over.

While no one should doubt the quality and power of the Obama database, it should be investigated to determine if the Obama db was populated with data that would only be available to high ranking government officials and not the public or private industry.

amazing. Just amazing. I keep reading more and more stories like this -—90% of your numbers were bad...I could weep.

Also there was an article posted earlier about the gay marriage votes, and the big homosexual organizations and how they organized their campaign. Smart. targeted, tear-jerking and convincing. Out-organized and outspent the anti-gay marriage crowd like a freight train passing a hobo.

This will be all forgotten in 4 years and Republicans will once again be saying, “what happened?”

David Axelrod insisted in 2009 that the White House would run the 2010 Census, and the day after the election he indicated that Census data was used to track voter addresses in the 2012 election effort.

Will Darrell Issa investigate the legalities involved? (Because Eric Holder isn’t likely to).

Wow, that's pure genius. We're supposed to be afraid of this? A database that they can use to bombard their suckers with junk mail and spam to whine for a few bucks so they can send even more? Sooner or later their suckers will get tapped out and jaded (it was supposed to be this year, but blacks and gullible women put Obama over the top and our side was more jaded).

“Gotta Have A Revolution”!

It’s time, if not now then when?

By revolution I mean in a vast conservative way.

Time to awake the giant like it has neve been awaken before. We did it in 2010, we can do it again.

It does help when top engineers from Google and Facebook are given leave to help with this stuff.

So ... where is our ... never mind. Anyone want to help code this sucker up? We can rent it to the GOP and even if it runs on punched cards it will be better than what currently exists....
