Citing a longstanding battle with upper management over journalistic practices at their Bangor TV stations, news co-anchors Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio announced their resignations at the end of Tuesday’s 6 p.m. newscast...

Both Michaels, 46, and Consiglio, 28, said frustration over the way they were allowed or told to do their jobs —something that has been steadily mounting for the last four years —became too much for them...

Below I will post a quote from the news reporter who says he quit because the managers were forcing politics on them.

It will be interesting to know HOW these "journalists" were told to do their job. Just knowing the ages of these two, my GUESS is that they are raging liberals, pissed off because they were told to BALANCE their news.

We'll see.

Michaels said there were numerous things that contributed to their decisions.

“It’s a culmination of ongoing occurrences that took place the last several years and basically involved upper management practices that we both strongly disagreed with,” she explained. “It’s a little complicated, but we were expected to do somewhat unbalanced news, politically, in general.”

Your local radio news or television news or newspaper news provider simply grabs the Associated Press feed and regurgitates it via the radio waves, television waves, or printed page. Your local news outlet does not do its own research and reporting on national or international news.

If your local news outlet does not carry the AP falsifications, it carries the ABC, or NBC, or CBS falsifications (radio and TV), or Reuters or one of a small handful of others.

Conservatives need to spend less energy complaining about Obama and more energy actively engaging local news editors regarding their blatant lack of journalist integrity by carrying feeds from dishonest wire services.

Ya, there’s lot’s of evidence that news management in Maine would be conservative...

WVII and WFVX are ABC and Fox affiliates, respectively, owned by Rockfleet. In 2006, general manager Michael Palmer said no more stories on the hoax that is global warming because it had gone from science to politics being pushed by the mainstream media. He compared GW to the killer bee and Y2K scares. Stations are expanding, hiring new staff with benefits, and revenues increasing.

Tells me the news readers who resigned are typical whiny lefties who wanted to report the standard Marxist propaganda instead of the truth.

My point is that there is no evidence for your slander and idle speculation.

THANK YOU! Assuming your facts are accurate, my suspicions are CORRECT!

Nice to know there are STILL managers in the TV business who know and recognize BIAS in their news divisions and refuse to tolerate it!

These whiny teleprompter readers probably weren’t going to have their contracts renewed anyway.

The laughable thing is they’ll be treated like martyrs in the “journalism” world.

I realize there is a play on words in the headline, but we all should know that the correct term is “anchors aweigh.”

(might come up at dinner tomorrow)

If we should all know it, what were you compelled to point it out?

Because as a society there are so many things we don't know that we should and that everyone used to know. Cultural literacy is shockingly low.

Shouldn’t that headline read ‘Anchors aweigh’?

Actually it's a very good example of a headline pun.
