I don’t want to be the skunk at the picnic but I think this picture is a lot more innocent than it appears. First, given the place, it is a complete sacrilege, of course. But I think this yahoo chick was just reacting to the sign and trying to do the opposite of what it said. I think if it said keep off the grass she would be standing on the grass. I think that is all she was doing. She has given a written and (I think) heartfelt apology and her dad (whom she lives with) has backed her up. He is properly mortified. I don’t excuse this behavior at all. I have been to Arlington and it is a Church even in our secular world. I think when she fully realizes what she has done she too will be mortified. Sorry for rambling but I don’t think she meant it as a political statement at all. Doesn’t excuse it but it kind of explains it. I’d like to think our society has not hit this level of bottom yet.

She broke the Law and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law. Her lack of Respect for the Brave Men and Women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to what I now consider an ungrateful Nation, should be rewarded with a Fine and Imprisonment.

She is an adult Woman who has the sovereign Right to Vote in what used to be the freest Nation on Earth. She can apologize until the Obama’s come home, but it falls on deaf ears.

Her behavior in another time would have resulted in a beat down from a Patriotic Citizen witnessing such vulgarity.

Did she burn one of the Flags at a gravesite too? Excuses are like A Holes, everybody has one.
