52% still believe our poor economy is Bush's fault...As much as I think Bob Beckel is a nasty nitwit, he did say something about this that makes sense - his idea was that most people don't really blame Bush so much as they don't want to blame Obama - they want to vote Obama for whatever the reason - he's cool, he's black, he's a Democrat, whatever - and the idea that he wrecked the economy doesn't fit with that vote - so they take the next available target for their anger, which is Bush - helps explain why attempts to put the blame where it really belongs - thirty years of 'rats giving away free houses to the poor at taxpayer expense - fall on deaf ears - finally something worthwhile out of Beckel's mouth......

The passage of time will serve to dilute the effectiveness of blaming Bush for all of BO's failings. Then they'll have to come up with another scapegoat: perhaps the GOP-majority House.
