While I agree with much of what she says, much of her actions aren't Scripturally supported. Jesus said "Render unto Caesar...", not "don't pay your taxes." She has already reaped that result.

I also thought immediately of the men marching in a furnace, when she talked about the killing of infidels. (Dan 3: 16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.")

But setting aside those (and a few more) comments, I think we are heading for a Final Judgment. Will it mean the end of the World? I have no idea. Should we be ready? Absolutely! Prepping may be a thoughtful thing, but as followers of Christ, we should pay attention to all His words.

As a Christian, I believe Him. As a Boy Scout, I learned the motto, "Be Prepared"... so I am!

Matthew 6: 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

ObamaCare mandates that all citizens, employers and institutions pay for abortion, sterilization, contraception. Subsidizing ObamaCare with your taxes is a sin. That's why Ann says she is forced to go all-in Christ, and to declare war on Caesar-Obama.

I must have missed that part of Christ's missive where he excepted our right to pick and choose Caesar's regulations. I seem to remember that Caesar was CRUCIFYING PEOPLE! Jesus placed no qualifiers, only the requirement to "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's"...

I appreciate her zeal and knowledge, but doubt she would willingly walk into the fire. As the saying goes, "talk is cheap"! Jesus was God walking on Earth. We are weak kneed humans. Peter heard the cock crow, and was ashamed!!!

Which reminds me that we are having a FReepathon, so DONATE TO FreeRepublic TODAY. I repeat, "talk is cheap", and posting on FreeRepublic is a privilege, not a right. I think everybody needs to render unto Jim and John to keep us afloat and growing. This is the Premier site for likeminded conservative Christians!

My "talk is cheap" reference was specific to her fire thing. Her tax strike was addressed first, when I quoted Jesus' "Render unto Caesar..." My Pop taught me that "you ALWAYS pay for your education". She should be learning much now!

She may have gone on strike, but the IRS will get everything she owns and leave her at the bottom of the heap. It's her choice, but it is not a "Christian" scripturally-based thing, imho. Think of the relationship of Twinkies and bakers...

Yes, he did say “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s...’ but here’s the problem...Caesar is taking that which is NOT HIS. The choice to participate in abortion is an individual choice, but in the name of the State, Obama has dictated that we will support that activity. Therefore, under the Scripture, Caesar is not due that subsidy, because it is not Caesar’s.

I watched all eight videos at the recommendation of VD (sorry) and was yelled at for spending Thanksgiving morning on the computer, but I am thankful that I did.

Unfortunately, it changed me and my perspective toward a lot of things and it made it extremely hard to come back here and read arguments about how we have to attract a higher percentage of Hispanic voters. Bah, Humbug.

...but here’s the problem...Caesar is taking that which is NOT HIS. The choice to participate in abortion any activity is an individual choice, but in the name of the State, Obama the Gum't has dictated that we will support that all activity. Our money still states "In God We Trust", but He has withdrawn His blessings on this land (IMHO). BUT, we are not on our own.

As a Christian, it is my obligation to "give unto Caesar". I also reject abortion and a myriad of other details of modern society, but we must remember our primary task. "Go into ALL the world and spread the Gospel (Good News)". Our war is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities...

I am thankful for the Word, as it is OUR guide... and these words from James speaks volumes!

Maybe I missed something in Scripture, but WE ALREADY HAVE THAT CHRIST! THERE CAN BE NO OTHER! This is just more mumbo-jumbo that the Roman Catholic Church perpetuates. They still have Him on their crosses, and pray to His mother to reach His ear. He is risen! There is no other mediator than Christ!

I'll just give you some Scriptures in further reply. Study John chapters. 14 & 17, and I will close with some of Paul's words to the Roman church:

Romans 8: 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
