Lindsey Stone — the Plymouth woman taking an online beating for posting a photo of herself flipping the bird at Arlington National Cemetery on Facebook — has lost her job.
“Lindsey resigned and we accepted her resignation,” LIFE Inc. CEO Diane Enochs told the Herald tonight.
LIFE Inc. of Hyannis — a Cape Cod nonprofit that helps adults with special needs — announced tonight that Stone, along with the woman who snapped the offending photo, are not working there.
Ironically, the formal announcement was made on Facebook.

I have made the walk up the hill to The Tomb more times than I can count. When in D.C. I see it as my duty and privilege.
Last week I took my aunt through a cemetery on an Army base. It always amazes me just how many headstones are etched “Unknown.”
If ONLY it were four more years of the nightmare. Sadly, he’s going to change the fabric of the country and it’s going to take years to restore it, if it can be restored.

My problem is that everyone on this forum acts as if it is ok to punish people for their beliefs. If she did it on company time, that is one thing but people are fired every day for posting things on Facebook or twitter, constitutional or not this is wrong. That’s my problem, we are a free people(or used to be)and can say or do what we wish, all of you guys sound like DUers celebrating someone being shit canned for what they believe. If YOU can’t see what I’m talking about(not necessarily the constitution)then you are not a conservative but a hypocrite.

My Marine nephew is residing there, thanks to a roadside IED. She’s lucky I wasn’t in the neighborhood, I’d have quite literally kicked her teeth into her throat.

I challenge the legitimacy and the authority of the zer0bama regime daily.
The government at its BEST needs to be challenged otherwise we fall into a complacent stupor and follow orders like zombies.
That being said this moron got we she deserved. And their is no freedom of speech where employer/employee relations are concerned. And if she had half a brain she would have dumped her Facebook account long ago.
Facebook mining is now step #1 for medical school admissions committees, it’s probably the same for other selection processes.
It’s literally UNBELIEVEABLE what ostensibly smart people put on there.
